I did not realize that Opie was the main character from "We are the Titans." In the early episodes you can tell, but by the current episodes he has physically and visually turned into an entirely different person.

I think you're the third guy to come to this realization this season on this board. It's fun to catch stuff like that.

Haha. It's always amazing to watch older stuff and have that wtf moment when you realize who they are.

Dude looks like a total badass now though.

Was watching something recorded on TNT and had a few minutes of the end of some Law and Order and saw Opie lying there dying on a couch.

Watched the 1997 film "The Game" with Michael Douglas last night and realized both Chibs and Bobby Elvis are in that movie. Both look much younger, but of course "The Game" is 15 years old.

Chibs was also in Braveheart and Gladiator off the top of my head.

Bobby Elvis was one of the dirty cops in Batman Begins

Jax was in Green Street Hooligans which was a great movie.

I'm convinced that Chibs has been in every movie ever made where having you're face slashed to *****would fit the character's background.

Chibs was also in Aliens vs. Predators

I get some of the hate for Tara's acting ability on this show. What I find strange, is she was actually pretty good on Mad Men.

This is really feeling like a series finale, not a season finale, with so much going down.

If you happen to be in Dallas, Juice is supposed to be talking season finale with Bob and Dan at 2:15pm today. 1310 AM or theticket.com

Yeah, everything where you sit back and say 'hmmm...that makes sense'. But nothing you saw coming.

Not as good as last seasons season finale, but still pretty damn good!

Loved Potter blowing up Hale in the council meeting.

I might be in the minority on this one, but I thought the season finale was a bit of a letdown. Obviously, the season had some amazing moments and episodes that could have been finales in themselves...but tonight felt a bit anti-climatic to me. This show is still money, but I was hoping for more.

I know Sutter split the finale up over two weeks...which made the difference feel similar to Kill Bill 1 and Kill Bill 2.

I agree that it was somewhat anti-climactic. A solid episode and a good set up for the next season but lacked the intensity of season 3's finale.

I thought the scene with Jax and Clay was pretty powerful. Loved how he wouldn't let Clay speak during his "impeachment".

Next year will be war with the niners.

I really thought opie was going to stumble in at the end after being shot by the niners.

Great season

Great season and not a terrible finale, but a touch overdramatic.

yeah a tad overdramaticised, but what a way to finish off a badass season! glad tara decided to stay. now counting down til justified starts back up again!

This finale closed some things, but also set up some transition. I liked the cartel/CIA connection. Lincoln going after Hale was awesome.

Anyone else feel like the outdoor scenes are shot on the same location as the Dukes of Hazzard? Lincoln was briefing the officers and I half expected Bo and Luke to pull up in the General Lee.

wonder if sutter's going to give a season-end interview to someone else, since he rejected alan sepinwall's request (I guess since Sepinwall hasn't been a big fan of the last couple seasons).

Wonder if Opie didn't show because he's paying Clay a visit..

What did Jax say to Tig when he tried to set down at the meeting table at the end of the show? I couldn't make it out, but Tig moved down one chair.
Doug Christie
How long do you want to ignore this user?
pretty sure it was jax exerting his power and essentially demoting tig, since he's always been clay's right-hand man.

How long do you want to ignore this user?
I'm pretty sure he said "no tig, you sit there now bro" then he looked at chibs and asked if he was cool w/ that. He wasn't asserting his power he was covering his ass. He can't trust tig. He's a loose cannon (see the niners incident). It had nothing to do w/ he being clays right hand. If you noticed, thru the seasons chibs always seems protective over jax. Who better to be his sgt at arms

To those that say this episode was anticlimatic, what did you want to happen? You had the cartel in bed w/ the cia...you have jax taking the presidency at knife point...tara taking power from gemma...the setup of the biggest oakland gangster's daughter's death. If you were expected a "stahl's head getting blown out" scene sorry to disappoint. Someone said it earlier, it was a 2 part finale, so clay getting shot, the niner girl getting cut up, and opie getting shot was all part of the finale. Sutter was money on this one.

I'm wondering where Opie was as well. Some very interesting story lines going into next season. I thought the finale was good, but not near the "holy sh-t" factor that last season's finale was.

The Sergeant-at-Arms sits to the right of the President. Clay had Tig, now Jax has Chibs.

Tig has been demoted (but not really, since he resigned while Clay was Pres.) Tig really effed up by attacking the Niners, he really needs to chill out anyway.

i thought he CIA twist jumped the shark for this season. It was great until that part.

Sutter tweeted he was doing one, can't remember where.

I want to not be too critical, but the cartel/CIA thing just seems too hard to believe.

too hard to believe that the CIA would be working with the cartel, or just that the cartel would be working with the CIA? CIA's been involved with some unseemly folks in the past, so this doesn't seem super-shocking (other than the surprise in this particular storyline).

That the leaders of the cartel are CIA. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe we've seen these guys execute people.

I know it's how Sutter does things, but just having it thrown out there w/o any hints is a bit bothersome.

I really just need to stop reading Sepinwall for SoA. He's great for shows he enjoys, but he takes the fun out of shows I like that he has problems with and I become overly critical.
Doug Christie
How long do you want to ignore this user?
I guess I was unclear as to whether they were CIA agents or just working with them. It was also late, so they may have stated it outright and i missed it.

I do agree that them being CIA is much more unbelievable.

I find I largely agree with Sepinwall's criticisms of the show, so it doesn't bother me. I still enjoy the show, but it's definitely not as much fun to talk about all the problems of a show, as opposed to the amazing things a show did.

I was a bit confused as it happened as well. When they stopped the RICO investigation I was thinking the other guy we hadn't seen (or I didn't remember) was CIA and they were just cooperating, but then when they were talking with Jax it sure seemed they were CIA.

Thanks for the link. Not nearly as good as an interview as Sepinwall.
