Only bad guess was Mozambique I was 650 miles off but in the right country still.

Never heard of those English islands but I knew some that it was not and stayed to the south / west since Wales is west and Scotland is north. didn't see any on the east so lucky guess there.

For some reason I thought Butte was in the central part of Montana. Isles of Scilly were new ones for me, not too common for something geographic

I'm definitely hooked on doing the versus. Always been a geography nerd and a competitive person and now I can do both! Got my ELO up to 1491!

Big tip if you do competitive - turn off globe momentum and turn down the pause time after move/zoom. Changing these, especially the globe momentum has mostly eliminated issues of getting DNF on the last location. Also helps for the daily challenge round.

I don't get it. I've gone on there and accepted some challenges and I did it and it just kept saying waiting for opponent to play. Never saw any result.

EDIT - Oh ok I went back and found like Match History I guess they have 24 hours to play it. Some expired some were played and I actually won 1/2. Was expecting more immediate response.

928 for me, consistently close but not close enough

I saw a documentary about those Taiwan islands super close to mainland China, interesting, and lonely places to live. They have a couple of soldiers positioned there next to a cannon. I think they just sit there all day. Like you, I picked the center of the larger island, however

That mountain in Maine is the northern end of the Appalachian Trail. And it's not the easiest mountain in the world to climb.
