Grandfather '38 served in Tunisia in WW2 so I generally knew the area.
I read "Endurance" about Shackleton in Antarctica so had a pretty good idea on Elephant Island
(One of my favorite non-fiction books ever, highly suggest y'all read that one!)

Better zoom feels kinda like cheating, at least comparatively. Part of the fun is "oh is that a city or just ****ty poorly colored satellite of farmland"

Change that setting to Hold to Place.

That happened to me 3 or 4 times and then I changed it.
