'Talk to our lawyer.' seems to be working for them thus far. But, that's a good story absent Brian squealing or other evidence surfacing.Guitarsoup said:
I'm sure the parents have some idea of his plans.
I also bet their story will be along this outline:
- Brian came home without Gabby and told us that she had left him.
- Brian said he was very hurt that Gabby broke up with him and wanted to camp to clear his head and process things.
- We dropped him off so he could camp and hike, but at that point did not know that Gabby was missing.
- Whoever Gabby was with after she broke up with Brian probably killed her.
- We went to the place and time we had planned to meet with him on Sept 14th, but he didn't show up and has been missing ever since.
- We miss our son and want him back safely.
- We hope the police and FBI find the real killers of Gabby, but Brian didn't do it.

He drove for hours/days in a van that wasn't his. Which means he had ample time to alert his parents, her parents, or any number of friends, about the fact that they broke up and she stayed behind with a complete stranger, and no means of transportation home. Whatever story he may have given them upon his arrival home, they had to have known it was weird that he was alone in her van.Guitarsoup said:

We haven't seen anything suggesting he contacted anyone after he killed Gabby other than driving home.xhippieliberalx said:He drove for hours/days in a van that wasn't his. I agree. I watched her parents' press conference yesterday and their devastation is gut wrenching. If his parents helped him, they deserve almost as much punishment as he does.

That's my point. How does someone travel all the way across the country by themselves without talking to someone they love about a major breakup with the person they were supposed to marry? And on top of that, take the ex-partner's van like she would have been ok with that.Guitarsoup said:We haven't seen anything suggesting he contacted anyone after he killed Gabby other than driving home.xhippieliberalx said:He drove for hours/days in a van that wasn't his. I'm not suggesting this is what happened. I am suggesting this would be their story so they don't get hit with Aiding/Abetting.
I couldn't do it, but if he is a guy that is comfortable surviving in the mountains for 6 weeks on crackers like his old coworkers said, he could probably drive two days while listening to Spotify.xhippieliberalx said:That's my point. New text from Laundrie family attorney Steven Bertolino:
"I can confirm that a phone was purchased on September 4, 2021 and Brian opened an account with AT&T for that phone. (Not a burner.) ...
Followed up with: Do you know where Brian's previous phone is? The one he had while traveling out West with Gabby?

Bertolino response: No.

Think she used to be xpunkrockchickx or somesuch, but people kept replying to her posts/comments with "That is so not punk rock" and she tired of it, so changed her username. Guessing she kept the x prefix and suffix so people would still know it is her.Sea Speed said:

After watching body cam footage and the one video she uploaded this statement was curious because in the video she posted there are several different times where she is driving like it isn't a big deal to her. In the grand scheme it really doesn't matter but why say you don't like driving the van when you have in the past or maybe she just meant driving it by herself. IDKGuitarsoup said:

Keeping the van alone is a much bigger problem for him, but not so much his parents. She was on the police body cam saying she didn't want to drive the van, so his story is probably that they were going to sell it, and she wanted him to drive it back, because she didnt trust herself driving it cross country.
My wife has her own car and drives normally, but doesn't really like it, especially in bigger cars. So any road trip, I drive 100%.Aaron4885 said:After watching body cam footage and the one video she uploaded this statement was curious because in the video she posted there are several different times where she is driving like it isn't a big deal to her. Just playing devil's advocate here... he could claim that since he didn't have a phone, and since pay phones hardly exist, he couldn't contact them. I mean, he could borrow a phone somewhere, or hit an internet cafe to email them, or whatever, but it's plausible he just drove for a couple days figuring he'd see them soon enough.xhippieliberalx said:
