The book lullaby is by Chuck Palahniuk and isn't exactly a bed time story. People are going to make wild ass connections out of thin air just because.

Got annoyed with each because they've been coeped up in a tiny van for the long trek and the tension finally built up and exploded into this d****bag being tired of her bs, tried to take off and she got in his face and called him a "period faced tiny pecker turd". He countered back with less than stellar insults about her hips which resulted in a scratch slap to the face followed by a calculated spit to the forehead. He wipes the saliva off, turns to her and calmly says, "not smart". Fade scene.

My guess is that he intentionally began acting a certain way knowing that she would respond aggressively.
The incident with the police was set up after he saw police cruisers. Beginning to drive erratic and antagonize her so that she appeared to be the aggressor and he the victim.
He then murdered her in "self defense" at least in his mind. But still premeditated in the first degree.

Haven't been following the case closely, but have they ruled out covid? The delta variant can be pretty nasty.

How would this guy have been allowed unnoticed on an airplane? These people aren't exactly publicly traded money.
Easy way around that is to buy two tickets: one under your name and one under someone else's. Go through security with your boarding pass and ticket to destination A, but then board with the other ticket to destination B.
I don't think you can board with a ticket that hasn't been scanned through security. You would have to have a second person involved though since they wouldn't have to board the second plan just get through security. Matching these two people up though would be really tough.
Pretty sure you can. All TSA does is check if your pass is valid. They don't notify the airline you've passed through. I remember a time not long ago when they'd just do a visual check for a name, gate, and date and initial the info. The airline doesn't need to know if your pass has gone through security or not because if you're physically at the gate you must have gone through and been checked.
There's no reason to bi-directionally connect the two systems other than to track if boarding passengers have actually gone through security, and, like you said, that still doesn't preclude people switching boarding passes. There's little return for a lot of effort there. The only thing that would preclude that is checking ID's before boarding, and airlines don't want that time suck while trying to board.
