It would have been a two-part episode. Part one would have been the story of the disappearance right up until they narrow down on the location, and part two would have opened with them finding Gabby's body, and it would have culminated with seeing the fiance looking out of the window of a plane taking off with impunity while McGee watches helplessly from the tarmac. The fiance (played by a different actor) would have shown up three seasons later, with a ton of random backstory in a case inexplicably tied to this one.

Oh, and Kasie would have made the connection years later by remembering some composition of dirt found under Gabby's nails that match something found in a new case.

Love to have been a fly on the wall for the family attorney talking to the FBI.

I wonder how tempted Gabby's family has been to fly to Florida and knock on the door demanding answers.

I really wish we knew if they had something to go on besides the family's word. Even if he did go there, he had plenty of time to leave. I'm also worried that he is in the water or something. May never find him if that's the case.

Sounds like you should just hope he is found so everyone gets closure and/or justice. You railed about someone saying something ill of the woman in this case and then did the same thing to the male because you have made your mind up. Imo they are 2 sides of the same coil until justice can be meted out.
