Excellent draw for Mary. I don't see anyone who has a real chance to upset her, DJ Bennett poses the biggest threat there. Dasha's quarter is a GAUNTLET! A tough 1st round for her and some of the best players in college over the past couple years in that quarter too, including Nicole. Overall, I kinda like our draws. Daria obviously plays a 9-16 seed but the girl is beatable and Daria is playing her best tennis.
Are there any other unseeded players, similarly to Nicole, that could have/should have been seeded?

Jonathan, who plays Vidmanova in the 1st round. has been a top 15 player the past 2 years. Played #1 for Ok St last year. I also think Bennett had a top 16 fall and should be seeded but she's not. Also a notable name in Mary's quarter that I missed earlier is a potential 2nd round match up with Tatum Evans of UNC who made the semi-finals of All-Americans and lost in 3 sets to the girl that beat Mary.
Hold up: Mary's fist opponent beat Carson last month (technically Carson retired at 6-2 5-2 40-15) and had a spectacular comeback to beat Mary in June (5-7, 6-2, 6-3)*. It should be noted that Mary had to get on a plane to New York after to accept the Honda Award.
that is notable, however Mary is playing really good tennis right now (Carson is not). I saw that but didn't think too much about it, but she did lose at all-americans to the girl that Nicole is playing in the 1st round.

Daria will play Ohio State's #1 Luciana Perry, who has overcome her misspelled first name to win B10 Freshman of the Year last season. So far this season Perry has focused on what worked best for her last season, by beating up on inferier Big10 opponents. Seven of her ten wins this season came against conference foes with the notable exception being a win over UT's Elza Tomase last month. Daria is 5-0 thus far this season against B10 opponents including two Ohio State players in a row.

Posting news from women's golf because I think of Mary when I read the news and watched the press conference. Both players have been huge for their programs and have always promoted Texas A&M and how much they enjoy their time in Aggieland. Teammates, staff, 12th man, they love it all.
She is the first Aggie to win a National Title in golf.

Anyone else having issues with any courts other than the featured showing up? Daria is on court 10, but it still says the event hasn't started from 9am.
I'm only able to follow live scoring....some people have to actually work....

Several years ago I was at work. I had an Aggie softball game live update page up, following an NCAA tourney game about noon or so. My boss walked by, pointed at the screen and asked what's that? I told him I am following my Aggies. He knows I'm a Aggie and a hard worker so he just smiled and walked away!
