I wouldn't think they could go to the end on the hards but I'm wrong just about every time I make a proclamation like that. If it's a two stop Max needs to undercut again.

Too early to say.

If Ham can press he'll be able to undercut Max when Max doesn't have the tires to fight it.

Max was saying he needed to pit because of hot tires when he was intentionally staying within 1 of Ham the first 10 laps

What a fun race. Every time Lewis got down under 1 second in the 1st sector Max would pull some awesome corners and hold him off before the DRS timing line.

Something tells me we're in for a lot more drama this season

Red bull nearly blew this.

- the bad start by Max
- +0.8 to Mercedes on Max stop
- The pit stop timing that put Max into traffic at bad times

I turn away for a minute to watch the little ones swim (because we can still swim in October) and look back and see Shaquille O'Neal pull up in a longhorn caddie limo looking thing. This is broadcast to over 170 whatever countries. I guess we're just living up to American expectations. Haha.

Leave and come back a few minutes later to see Ol Shaq himself up on stage looking like groot standing next to the drivers. Just odd. That along with Megan the Horse trotting her fat ass along the tarmac just kills me.

I think by the very end, Hamilton was no longer getting a pace advantage from fresher tires. That plus he made a few tactical errors on the last lap, including failing to get DRS on a critical stretch.

Agree. But at about lap 46ish I was expecting to see some neck and neck for the last 2 or 3 laps.

I was hoping for a bit more passing but the stop strategy and watching verstappen save his tires made this one of the better races I can remember.
