Glad Verstappen won. Incredible driving by Hamilton to come back. Honestly Hamilton looked more impressive to me today than he does in the races he wins going away. Hamilton is consistently nails. Wish Checo would have finished higher. Excited to see Lando and McLaren on the podium.
McLaren and Ferrari look like they'll have a dogfight for #3.

1/2 - Mercedes / Red Bull
3/4 - McLaren / Ferrari
5/6/7 - Alpha Tauri / Alpine / Aston Martin
8/9/10 - Alfa Romeo / Williams / Haas

Checo just couldn't seem to get things right today. He had so many mental mistakes.


On a positive note: despite their best efforts both Haas cars actually finished the race today!

Agreed. It seems like Alpha Tauri will occasionally compete with Ferrari and McLaren but will likely have a large gap in points above and below them.

How AT performs this year will depend on how consistent Gasly can be week to week and how well Tsunoda ramps up as a rookie. When Gasly is at his best, he can easily put his AT in the Top 5-8. However he is still prone to critical mistakes. Tsunoda has a lot of potential.

It's a good thing Red Bull got their stuff figured out so we might have a battle at the top. Last season was a way more competitive midfield battle.

Ferrari getting rid of Seb and finding some power in the off-season took a lot of the drama out of that this year.

I thought the idea was to have the grid for sprint qualifying be based on the inverse order of the point standings. It sounds like a lot more fun to have a Haas front row lockout so everyone has to stay clear of Mazespin until he wrecks then Lewis and Max will have to pass everyone from the back.

I didn't expect the teams/drivers would go for that since it would be carnage, but it sounded amazing.

I thought it was announced Silverstone, Monza, and one outside Europe?

Just checked. First two are "understood" to be the races plus one more.

I would try again tonight, the line has died down a ton according to my friend. $200 for a 3-day GA is tough to beat especially if you go to the concerts too.

It took 3 hours for me, but I managed to get my tickets at like 1 PM. Surprisingly they had almost every section available. I went for Grandstand Trackside

No idea how the practice sessions went other than what they talked about with track limits to start qualifying. 90+ lap times deleted during practice? I hope the stewards are consistent with the application.

But I always pull for Max and anyone besides Merc or Greener Merc.

I am behind a bit today but I loved the "audio up" when they just had Max's car / engine. I cranked up my speakers and annoyed everyone in my house but was fun! I haven't watched many practice sessions...I am guessing they do this all the time but I haven't experienced it....

Seems like the wind was giving Hamilton and Verstappen fits throughout Qualifying. Both had lap times deleted at some point and had to adjust. Those last few minutes of Q3 seemed to be horrible conditions to gain any time toward Pole.
