Frwshcorn put the team on his back tonight. If they don't pull it out they let him down. Great yesr by that young man and he showed a lot of fight tonight with a season high pitch count, first start, and he pitched friday.

Why are you embarrassed? It is not like we are the only team that hosted that lost their regional. Some did not even get to the Championship game of the regional. I love baseball and been a close follower of Aggie baseball since '87 and if anything is embarrassing is. our fan base never appreciating good seasons.

While you and I may feel this is a good season, the previous regime had raised the bar for what a good season is. Lowering that bar with this talent should not be acceptable.

I agree but POS decided he did rather be somewhere else. While Earley botched last season (Mizzou sweep) I think he did a very good job this season overall no matter how this ends tonight.

Good pitching beats good hitting every day and USC in our regional was an absolute slap in the face and they knew it. Texas gets 3 teams that a good 12U team could beat and we get TxState, who was closer to Austin than us and USC.


Damn- I have never seen a 12u team with a top 5 pick in the draft. Yeah, the sips lucked out and got to miss him, but come on.

USC is a typical team full of California players (the state that produces more MLB talent than TX & FL combined). They pitch well, very good defensively and can manufacture runs. They aren't world beaters though.

Exactly. I can't imagine having a bunch of new employees who are literal kids demand that I promote the brand new assistant manager who is barely more than a kid with zero management experience, or they'd all walk...and actually do it.

This is a team that beat absolutely no one this year.

Our draw wasn't particularly difficult we're just not very good.

Anyone with a brain knew we couldn't survive this type of scenario with our tattered starting pitching and woefully bullpen. We needed to win 3 in a row and be done. Anything other than that and we were vulnerable and had to out hit and out score everyone. That hasn't happened.

Games like that tend to favor teams that are playing better. Not rushing throws, not making running mistakes, not hanging pitches…

Mississippi State hired a guy that on paper is a straight upgrade over Schloss, and in practice looks pretty damn good rn. No reason we couldn't have pursued him.

We just petered out a few weeks ago. Injuries had a lot to do with it. We had a weak pitching staff to begin with. The team lost their energy. SC is just punishing us now. Sad way to end the season.

Pitching has been suspect all year. All of us knew it was going to be a problem. But four hits in any game ain't gonna cut it, either. None of us thought the bats would go so cold in such critical games.
