We will probably never know why Maya Bland was 'dismissed'. Oh well.

Have to once again think about who starts where after Ford's press conference today. Once again said KP only one playing the same position. Mentioned Ariel playing OF and Maddie, DeeDee and Gracyn at C. So, perhaps Ariel in CF? At C, whoever hits better of the three during non-conference has the advantage. I lean toward Maddie although I really like DeeDee. She can hit the ball hard but did not get a ton of chances last year. Coach always really likes experience, though, so Gracyn might get a lot of reps. If she does I hope she can get some hits this year.

She talked a lot about Lessentine again so still think she will be the primary starter with Sidne being the second.

Ended with the Aggies being competitive in NIL. I do not seeing us matching the sips, sooners or red raiders but maybe getting closer.

She mentioned the 2026 and 2027 classes. That the 2027 class is even better than the 2026 class. These are the 2027 commits I have, if anyone can add or subtract from the list or correct any errors please let me know.

Ella Carmack, everywhere but C and P, 5'10", 150 lb, Lees Summit, MO, playing on the National Champion Aces Fastpitch 18U squad. Power hitter, lots of RBI's.

Zoie Griffin, RHP/Utility, Coweta, OK, recognized as the No. 7 pitcher in her class

Kynlee Arechiga, MIF/3B, La Porte, TX. Power Hitter. 2024, 2025 team offensive player of the year. Looks like a DP.

Jenna Caldera, MIF, Whittier, CA, quick, outstanding range. #3 for position.

Leighton (Sis) Gray, MIF, Norco, CA. #8 for position.

Leanna Bourdage, RHP, Gainesville, FL

Brielle Gardiner, RHP, Millville, UT, 2024 Utah Gatorade POY, power pitcher, rated 36th overall, 2024 4A State Champ (title game was her 30th win of season), 2025 Utah 4A All-State, 2025 MaxPreps High School Softball Underclass All-America Team, on the 2025 U-18 Women's National Team.

Looking forward to watching the press conference this evening. To me outfield position is about your arm. Strongest in RF. However Ford has had her best arm in CF since she has been here. So it will be interesting to see where Ariel and Kelsey end up. The biggest missing piece I noticed in the fall was we didn't see arms that looked like Jaz, Allie or Kramer. Hopefully Ariel being a C/3b in the past we see a big time arm from her

Kramer in left last year had some laser throws as well as a couple of circus catches into the wall. Really going to miss that defense with she and Allie

Not sure Meet&Greet will happen on Saturday due to weather. The last 2-3 ones had rainy weather, but looking more icy and cold now.

In the 2026 class there are two very highly rated (nationally) outfielders coming in - Milan Torres and Abreya Perry. Additionally, there is Reagan Rohrlich from The Woodlands, #1 ranked outfielder in Texas. She is also a track star (translates to range).

We have had some outstanding players in the OF over the years and I think that will continue.

I saved the extended highlights video of the game where Kramer made the outstanding catch. Shows in slow motion, too. Best video I have seen of the catch (can set to 1080). Link set to start just before the batter hits the ball she catches. Also removed the https:// to minimize the size of the post.

Coach Ford said instead, they will be at the basketball game tonight, will sign autographs beforehand and throw out T-shirts at the game!

Team needs Maddie and Ariel in the lineup "full time" by conference play. Infield/DP is crowded this year, Ariel + Kelsey + TBD in OF makes sense.

Most important position in the lineup is whoever is behind Mya. Every team we play will pitch around her unless A&M can make that hurt a lot
