Looks like a replacement for Leyba. I like having another pitching coach on staff as opposed to an infield/hitting guy. I doubt Ford turns over all pitch calling/coaching duties (I don't think she should) but you never know.

Can KP stay another year after playing pro ball this summer?

Ford would take all 3 back in a second ! Even with Pannell having a rough year Ford would still want her in the bullpen!

The roster is maxed this coming season and I think Wark would be the only one eligible since KP and Pannell both played pro

This was a lazy graphic someone posted. None of those softball players are eligible even with injunction.

- Wark had a redshirt year already. (not HS class of 2022)
- KP and TP signed (and played) pro contracts

Don't get excited about the volleyball list shown either. All four signed and played in pros.

Injunction does not override other NCAA eligibility rules...

Ivy League POY in 2025

Definitely a positive addition. I'm guessing that she takes quite a bit of Munnerlyn's role. Additionally, it doesn't make us rely on the transfer from U of Houston with the 9.00+ ERA last season.

In 2025, Wright was Princeton's primary starter with 24 starts and a 2.92 ERA and had the most innings pitched on the team with 134 IP and a .229 BAA.

In 2026, her starts went down to 12 and she threw the 3rd most innings on the team (anyone know the story on that?). She had an ERA of 3.71 and a .257 BAA.

Not sure what the difference was between the two years for her. Strikeouts were about the same at a little under one per inning. The BAA was up a little but nothing crazy. The biggest thing I see is her HR allowed rate more than doubled in 2026.

A welcome addition! Looking forward to the season.

I haven't seen anything yet. I have hopes for a few but haven't heard.

We have really solid 2026 and 2027 classes, I don't remember a bunch of week one verbal commits but I'm old so who knows.

Has anyone heard how many and who is on campus from the class of 2028?

On another site, Reagan Eldred (Kline, Spring, TX. ERA: 1.49 (33rd in Texas, 9th in Region III, 10th in 6A) Wins: 13 Innings Pitched: 103.2 Strikeouts: 172 Batting Average Against: .147
Fielding Percentage: 1.000. 6'-2" right hander plays travel ball with Texas Blaze United 18U,

Jayde Palmer was also mentioned. Jayde is from Orange Beach, Alabama and won a couple state titles. Linedrive media has her stats at Batting: .448 average, .511 on-base percentage, 1.24 OPS, .955 fielding percentage and says she is primarily a SS but can play all infield positions. Sports Recruits (sportsrecruits.com) shows her positions as SS & Catcher. Plays travel ball with Hotshots National Nelson 18U.

Looking forward to the class of 2028 and the 2027 Season.

It has been unusual reading about other schools commitments and visits, but nothing here about ours. A little national stuff below. Where are you going to read about our Aggie recruiting activity as it is pretty dead around here.

LSU is starting strong once again; Oklahoma had plenty of talent in Norman, and Mississippi State and Nebraska are building off their WCWS momentum.

There have been visits to campus reported including at least one 5star recruit.

I do not expect a large 2028 class. There are eight freshman on 2026 roster (including the transfer from Texas Tech) plus another seven verbal commits for 2027. Both are top10 recruiting classes. We also have a large group of rising juniors who now have three years of eligibility left with the recent 5 for 5 rules.

Reagan Eldred (Klein HS, Spring, TX.) is a 5 star pitcher and ranked #14 overall (Rating = 98, Position ranking = 5 & State ranking = 4). From what I can find Eldred's stock rose over the summer and has plans to visit Oklahoma and Tennessee in the coming weeks. We got her on campus 1st but the staff has competition to get her "in the boat".

Jayde Palmer (Orange Beach, Al) is a 4 star middle infielder and ranked #26 overall (Rating = 96, Position ranking = 8 & State ranking = 1). She has future visits to Auburn and Tennessee. Again, going head to head with our conference opponents.

Obviously, the program can get talented players to campus. That's half the battle. Getting that commitment is the other half. Stating the obvious but sometimes we forget this is a very important decision these young ladies are undertaking.

@KLB93, concerning the 5 for 5 rules, agree. Will be interesting to see how it impacts not only High School recruiting but also Portal movement. Interesting times we are in.
