Six teams left in the CWS and four are from the SEC. Going to take an SEC school to knock out an SEC school on our side of things.
ACC teams now just 2-6 in the CWS. Only wins are against each other.
Guaranteed to not be an All ACC final....

I have a greater conviction that the play would not have been overturned. It's a one run game and could easily go to extra innings so I won't assume there are only two to play. I will grant you that you are more likely to get an ump review in late in a tight game if you are out of challenges so you could more correct than me based on that but I just did not see enough objection from the player to use a challenge and I think it would have been wasted so that is no better than leaving in your pocket in a game you ultimately lose by one run. Just my opinion based on how I look at risks and the probability of success with the challenge. The main thing I disagree with you on is that it is inherently dumb. Down by a run and I could tell it was a very close play live. You have to challenge that late in the game. It was dumb not to challenge. You can't convince me otherwise.

And I believe these are genuinely good ACC teams. These SEC teams are just a better overall collection of players. That's why whatever we do, I will greatly admire our team. We play amongst the giants.
I wasn't trying to convince you, just stating my thoughts on whether I thought it was dumb or not. I respect your thoughts and know they come from a solid foundation of reason. You were at least as right as I could have been even if they had successful uses of the challenges in the 8th or 9th. I'm not saying you are or were wrong so please don't read it that way. I just disagree from my point of view.
LOL, he should have used the challenges on Neely being that talented. It's just not fair going against him right now just as we saw on Saturday. That's why we were blessed to have that lead when he came in and to also have Asch.
