If we bring in the UW 2B my guess is Henseler is LSU bound. Wouldn't think we get both unless we lose Sorrell or we intend to have Grahovac catch (unlikely).

How much fun is this for the team? They had an incredible season with a ton of momentum. Then had all the celebration ripped from them only to get to be celebrated with a new coach and the team's re-committment. You can tell how strong they are as a group as they celebrate the news each time one of them states they are returning. After all that has happened, this is fun to watch.

  • Kash has played 1B but evidently he can play OF too...
  • Bergevin is a big ol' boy and I thought 1B/DH for sure. Word is he's playing OF this summer so maybe that's a thing.
  • Henseler has been 3B, but he's very much a utility guy. He can can anywhere in the IF (maybe not SS?) or corner OF.

Should be noted that Kash is the most recent commit (yesterday) so I expect he'll stick.

Bergevin committed a few weeks ago and confirmed again post hire of Earley, so it would seem like he would stick as well unless it gets too crowded for his liking.

Henseler's been committed the longest, and just around CWS time said he was coming and forgoing the draft. However he's been pretty silent the last week or so and word is LSU is full court press for him to replace Tommy Tanks at the hot corner in Baton Rouge.

In short, man I have no idea. The competition level to get on the field and in the lineup is going to be intense.

Schott is an outfielder and was dinged up. That's why he didn't play outfield when Montgomery went down in the Super.

Sorrell, Schott, and Laviolette seem like a pretty good outfield to me
