Yep. It's the sad reality of "upper society" on the coasts just not being big sport fans. And isn't limited to baseball.

It seems it's going to be the same way in football.

When baseball expands to scholarships for the entire roster, we will see an even bigger disparity between the top 15 or so teams and every one else.

I wonder if we'd think about taking somebody like this... small college but a decent bat. If his defense is decent or better he might be a great backup.

Kendall was hinting on the premium version of this thread that that position player might be UW's Aiva Arquette

If we are getting Arquette I don't think Bergevin can be promised a path to play anymore. Too many bats. It would definitely be a defensive upgrade if he was at 2B and Henseler was at 3B/OF.
