It's a great time to be a baseball fan in Texas. The Astros are elite and could be on the verge of establishing dynasty type of status. And by hanging on to their tradeable assets at the deadline, the Rangers embody that "never give up" spirit that you want in an underdog.
Yankees are probably wishing they tried harder to acquire Mike minor or lance lynn right about now.
All we heard at the trade deadline was teams like the Yankees and twins *****ing about the prices. I'm sure the Yankees would've rather had minor or Lynn start yesterday, so they got what was coming to them. You have to actually give up quality prospects to get good players that push you over the top. It's not rocket science yanks.

Tend to agree. The price for quality pitching at the deadline is going up. I think front offices of "rebuilding" franchises are getting smarter. But yea, the Yankees could have certainly used one more good innings eater.
I think you can get by in a best of five series with the bullpen taxing approach, but not sure you can in a seven game series. Even if the Yankees had won last night, I'm not sure what they would have had left in the tank for game seven.

I would've benched his ass years ago. That guy will never pan out and I have to watch his pathetic azz 150 games a year.
Game 7's can go either way in sports. I'm sure nobody thought the Mavericks would go into San Antonio and beat the dynasty spurs in 2006. I still vividly remember that game.Deluxe said:

Cole probably would've dominated and shut them down today, but now you guys get to save him for game 1.
Who knows maybe minor or Lynn give up a big home run to gurriel anyway, but I hope the yanks feel the prospects they saved are worth it now because it looks like a big mistake to me.
Most MLB franchises can not afford to eat the size of contract given to Odor. Maybe just maybe some team will be willing to see if a change of scenery might be what it takes to live up to the potential Roughed showed early in his career.
