Risacher is a weird, weird player. He finds himself in a lot of really good spots both offensively and defensively, and he's doing the right stuff, but goodness he's allergic to actually scoring.

They're calling it left shoulder soreness so hopefully just precaution.

I feel kinda bad for Risacher. He actually put in a shift on defense, worked his ass off, and again found himself in good spots. But the basketball has a cover on it right now.

Coming out of the first 3 games at 1-2 was always going to be a major win. We're playing with house money, and we have Rez, they don't.

It's only 2 games, but somehow Risacher had the 2nd best +/- on the team for the 2nd straight game. (I realize +/- isn't everything.)

It's never aesthetically pleasing on offense, but his defense is really good when he plays within himself and the system. His size/length plays really well and he has good instincts on that end. Seems like he's just going to get deflections and stocks and a good amount of rebounds just by existing on the court.

It may take some time, but if they can turn him in to an average offensive player, he'll be earning a really nice second contract starting in 28.

And yes, I'm probably high on hopium after a nice win that could easily be chalked up to shooting variance.

To my eyes, Risacher needs to revamp his shot, particularly from three. It's not Caleb Martin bad by any means, but it is a little wonky, flat and slow. Do that and he might be a good player.

The Spurs are coming in tonight 0-2, and we're probably going to get beat up pretty good still with no Coop, Santi etc. and Kyrie will be on a minutes restriction again. But the Spurs have looked kinda pedestrian to start the year imo and have a few conundrums: 1) being Wemby insisting on playing outside the arc and dribbling the ball; and 2) they're starting lineup is pretty small and not shooting forward outside of Wemby.

Someone is going to have to tell Wemby eventually that he doesn't need to be coming outside the arc so much, and that to get great offensively he's going to need to develop and do his work from the elbows down, and only pop-out to take threes like Dirk did. He's too big and clumsy with the ball to play out there so much imo.

I was out last night so only caught highlights. Are we expecting significant time out here or just precautionary?

Stein said on DLLS last night that everything he has heard is looking positive it isn't anything that serious. I would assume it really is a sore shoulder, bruising etc. and they took him out and didn't let him come back out of precaution. If we were in a playoff game 5, I have a hard time believing coop isn't coming back in after that.

Nesmith should have to sit out the same number of games Flagg is out for. Needs to be a rule for cheap shots and dirty plays

About what I thought. Pretty much best scenario imo other than not being hurt at all. I bet he misses this week and then he's back. Saw some statistics earlier that players with mild AC joint sprains miss an average of 4.1 games.

Ideally he's back for November 2nd which begins a stretch where 3 out 4 are home games we'll likely be favored.

That would be perfect. And I wouldn't be surprised to see Santi back this week as well.

It's the right call, especially after we won last night, unfortunately. But no Flagg and no Kyrie is a BAD home opener.

I agree he shouldn't play B2Bs, but he should have sat last night so he could play tonight.

And with Rez on a minutes restriction, if we keep it within 20 it's a major moral victory. Not kidding
