Light your St. Pop candle pray to St. David Stern for that frozen envelope.

We lit the Manu candle for the Wemby ping pong balls. Think we gotta run it back.

Gotta full on tank it now. Get Castle his ROY.

Spurs have 23 wins, 10th worst.

Wizards, Pelicans, Jazz, Hornets all have 9-14 wins. Toronto has 17 but are 9-7 over last 16. I still think they tank, but see if they let Ingram play.

Then we have Brooklyn and Philadelphia at 20 wins, Chicago at 22 wins, and Portland at 23 wins (and 6-4 in last 10)

If we can catch Brooklyn and Philly, but not Toronto, we have a 37% at top 4, 30% chance at 7th,
20% chance at 8th. 3% chance at 9th or 10th.

Shut down Fox for his hand surgery.

Figure out what Paul wants to do

Start Castle and let him go get that ROTY (while losing games).

Right? The Spurs org could use a little luck, we're overdue.

Fire up the tank it's about to get ugly.

Fox sitting would be great but he is gunning for $$$$. We are probably going to lose most games anyways. We have no size in the front court to defend the rim or get rebounds.

I think Spurs she's to give Fox the 30% before the trade. He's a known quantity and doesn't really have anything to prove without Wemby

Spurs have no doubt already discussed the extension with Fox before the trade.

Fox isn't chasing anything at this point.

Spurs front office right now:

Not a Spurs fan, but praying for Wemby. My 2 cents

25 + years ago, I had a sharp pain in my leg one morning that wouldn't go away. Went to the doc and they were mystified. A couple of of weeks later, I started having trouble breathing. Then one day woke up with the leg pain so bad I couldn't even get dressed. Turned out I had a DVT in my right leg that had broken off into 2 pieces, and was in both of my lungs where it is then known as a pulmonary embolism.
DVTs are super scary. If the clot breaks off, it has 3 possible routes - your lungs, heart, or brain. The latter two are fatal most of the time.

He will likely being tested for a genetic disorder called Factor V Leiden thrombophilia (https://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/factor-v-leiden/symptoms-causes/syc-20372423)

it's a mutation of your body's clotting factors and they put you on blood thinners for it. That medicine used to really suck in the 90s / early 00s, but is much improved now. However as someone said, most doctors will tell you to avoid playing contact sports if you get diagnosed with it. The blood thinners make you prone to excessive bleeding - I haven't shaved with a real razor since 1998.

He might not have it, although being tall is one of the typical warning signs - clearly the NBA is full of tall guys. The great Chiefs' LB Derrick Thomas died of a pulmonary embolism he suffered after being in that terrible car crash back in 2000.

Anyway, most days I prefer the Spurs to do terribly, but hopefully Wemby does not this condition and it's just a fluke that he recovers from fully. Twitter says both Ausar Thompson and Brandon Ingram have had blood clots wipe out a season, but both recovered to play the next year.

I keep going back to that memphis game a few weeks ago where GG Jackson dove on Wemby's shoulder over a loose ball.

Wimby grimaced in pain and they took him straight to the locker room to check it out. He came back quickly, but I wonder if that was the start of all of this.

That was 17 days ago. No way he had a clot in his shoulder that long. Shams said he started feeling bad a couple days ago.

Wemby wasn't not trying on the Skills Challenge, he had a blood clot and couldn't shoot.

It starts out as muscle pain, and the pain can be diluted with heat, so it's entirely possible it formed then. I had my first one for 3 weeks before it hurt too bad to ignore

Memphis traded away a player they liked just because of their salary crunch and that was before JJJ qualified for a supermax.

JJJ is currently almost even odds for DPOY.

Man I hope he gets it

Spurs win tonight. They should be tanking.

Nice to see the spurs play hard. Phoenix just look bad.

I think players are very aware of long term implications of blood clots - especially of a guy his size. I'm not sure they've been read in on the specifics of Victors situation.

I wouldn't read too much into that. The players haven't spent the last 24 hours researching DVT like we have.

You're shook by a teammate saying they want Vic to live?

My wife is always on the ball with sending me Spurs-related info she got from Facebook like 1.5-2 days after I had heard about it (usually on here). By the time she sent me the Wemby news I was ready to give a Ted Talk on DVT.
