Some execs believe it could be as early as the trade deadline this year. That team is in shambles. Middleton and Lopez on the heavy decline along with Lillard. And no depth.

Hope he wants to play in Utah. I didn't see OKC doing it and I don't see the Spurs doing it. Who else has a lot of extra picks?

Spurs really got after Utah in the 2nd half. Defense is going to need to be the identity of this team.

I love Keldons new body. His defense and transition game is better.

Castle is huge and his IQ is off the charts.

There's a reason Steph was on the court to end the game. Once he stops forcing it and his shot starts falling it's really to going to be hard to take him off the court. A crunch time lineup of Victor Paul Dev Sochan and Castle seems likely.

I agree. I find it extremely comfortable seeing him out there at both ends.

And everyone's favorite for best rookie, Reed Shepard, got 5 minutes tonight. He looks like a Hobbit compared the Castle.

This is what I expected to see. The Spurs first 4 games were against arguably the two top teams in the west on the road and the Rockets, who have always guarded Victor pretty well.
I expect that the Spurs will do much better against teams like the Jazz but still struggle a bit with good teams. Still somewhere in the middle.
If they played in the East, they would be a play-in team but the west is tougher top to bottom.

You weren't kidding. He was assigned to Luka and Kyrie in his first game.

Pop has him closing out games. That's the real vote of confidence. I would be surprised if Castle is not at Caruso levels of defense by the end of next season

Nets winning is a good thing for sure. They are 3-3 now in a year they were supposedly tanking.



In non-Spurs picks teams, I think Milwaukee is going to have to trade Giannis. Milwaukee just sucks and they have no path to contention. They also don't own their own pick for half a decade. I think the trades are going to get crazy after that, because Milwaukee needs to firesale everything. Portis has a lot of value, Middleton has a player option next year for 31M, Brook Lopez is an ending contract. But Dame has two more years at 51M and 55M. Ouch.

Without knowing what kind of flexibility they have, Denver is going to have to make a move for some bench help. They'll be buyers at the trade deadline.
