Elanga may be the fastest player in the league but he's getting worked right now.

I also do not think the Szbo and Gravenberch midfield is going to work either. They are too much of the same player.

Kerkez and Frimpong are not good defenders but at least they are also extremely wasteful going forward.
We need to just bite the bullet and pay what is necessary to add Barcola and someone else. Rio is not ready for a full season as the man especially if we are asking him to play on the right.
I like the look of Jacquet but he will need some time to adjust to the speed and physicality of the prem.
This thing is going to take some time to come together.

When it's this many guys I think there's bigger issues at hand. It's going to take some time for this thing to take shape imo. Doesn't mean we should accept mediocre play, but this is a rebuild after all.AG@RICE said:

I wanted to believe their lack luster play last year was because of Slot's tactics....

Game 1 with a new mgr and a completely flawed team that didnt address any needs. Not surprised. Going to take time and is definitely a rebuild, but FSG going to have actually help here.

It's an issue right now. I'm hoping the new ownership group will push for changes. Hughes is just being replaced by his understudy. Feels like the move you make when you aren't ready to go make a bigger hire.

I'd find a way to get Mac Allister and Munoz on.

If I'm Iraola, I'm throwing on Macca and Munoz for Frimpog and Rio.
Let Dom play RB and let Macca impose some control in our MF.

Yeah we're on the same wavelength. I think Frimpong has been fine, and better than Kerkez for sure, but you need to keep Dom on the field.
Kerkez will also be coming off at some point with the yellow.

Problem with taking off Kerkez is that there isn't a realistic option to replace him. If we are worried about Kerkez's ability to hang with Elanga, I shudder to think what it would look like with Tsimikas out there.
Last thing; in some fairness to Kerkez I think Elanga is probably doing that to every LB on the planet except for a handful.
Rio is 17 and asked to start on the right after just playing bit roles through last year. Not sure what anyone expects but agree will be limited if he doesn't figure it out.
Munoz and Mac definitely need to come in.
Wirtz, Frimpong, Kerkez and Isak are complete ghosts since they came aboard is the biggest problem. Its not working, look like complete misfits for what's needed, and their flaws are exposed at this level

We have no capable RB/LBs. Scary. Not addressing anything in the offseason may be catastrophic.

That goal was 40% on Kerkez, 20% on Gravy and 40% on VVD.
VVD played that equally poorly as Kerkez. He had Jacquet with him and should have stepped up to Osula and forced him into Jacquet. Instead he gave too much ground and gave Elenga a chance to roast Kerkez.
