Easy to say all this about where Liverpool should be when Liverpool spent 447.2mm in the past year on players with a net spend of 230.5mm after player sales. Premier league record. Let's not pretend like this team was built with blood, sweat, and tears.

No doubt the individual players have had blood, sweat, and tears to get to where they are in life, but as a club… ehh.

I'm a toffee to the core, come at me bro.

I mean, I'm admittedly an LFC hater, so I don't know if my bias is coming in, but to me it reads like Salah saying, "Klopp was heavy metal, this Slot system isn't, I'm leaving, but I think the club should get rid of Slot and find a manager more like Klopp." Maybe I'm misreading it, though.

Salah in Slot's first season: 47 league G/A; wins the league
Salah in Slot's second season: 28 league G/A; throws Slot under the bus and then backs over him

Tinfoil hat on - I think the league will subtilely try to make sure other teams win the league for a long time, as basically a giant makeup call. Lord knows what geopolitical BS kept them from actually hammering City, but I suspect for the foreseeable future, any team that's in a position to beat them is going to get a few favors.

More realistically, it might be legitimately be a real bias of the refs individually that they simply can't shake and be completely objective.

But on the same note as above, let me be clear - I don't give a damn. I hope I'm right about one of the above, and long may it continue.

I'm not exactly holding my breath, but they haven't resolved the charges either way. It's still in limbo waiting for a decision from the independent board. Apparently when you refer something with lots of exhibits and no time limit for decision, and probably hourly billing by the board… they can take their time. lol.

Jeebus. Are Arsenal fans as a group as soft as that guy? He needs to lay off the therapy and the self-help books.

(Congrats to the ones that haven't lost their balls).
(Edit: 2011 deleted a link to some Arsenal soy boy crying about how in his feels Arsenal banter was. If you are going to post it, leave it up soy boys).

So Bournemouth has two opportunities to make Champions League with a win/draw (a loss and Brighton win would have Brighton jump them for 6th and qualify for CL if #2 happens) on Sunday:

1) Liverpool loses and Bournemouth makes up 6 goal differential

or

2) Liverpool wins and Aston Villa loses (assuming AV wins Europa League which is very likely)

I had mentally ruled out option 2 after Villa beat Liverpool but that is indeed plausible now. A lot more plausible than option 1 anyway. Villa are likely to still be hungover on Sunday and will likely give zero effs against City (who probably also will give zero effs but are at home). Liverpool playing at home and need at least a draw to take their CL probability from 95% to 100%.

Can't believe I'm about to say this but come on City and come on Liverpool. Bournemouth qualifying for the Champions League would be an absolutely historic achievement that I don't think enough people recognize because they have gotten so good at the way the run their club and Iraola has been such an exceptional manager.

This is a club that has been around for 127 years and not only has never qualified for European football, their first season in England's top flight division/league was only in 2015. They play in a stadium that holds 11,000 people. They are effectively Luton Town and everyone lost their mind when they spent 1 season in the EPL before promptly returning to the Football League (and now they are in League 1). Bournemouth qualifying for the Champions League as an achievement would only be surpassed by Leicester winning the league, IMO.
