The only problem I have with that second yellow is that they actually had to look at it and talk about it.

Germany can still score, they will just be more prone to giving up a counter. If they don't play for the win, they are looking at a very difficult scenario to advance in the last game

Maybe since they knew if they called for a yellow card that he was done?

The ref got it right. Just don't know why it took so long. That was flagrant and obvious.
Mexico 1-0 over Sweden and Germany 2-0 over South Korea would do the trick.PatAg said:

Argentina isn't out. They actually have a pretty good chance of going through if they can beat Nigeria. As lousy as they've been playing, however, that's far from certain.Ambres said:
Wow.. the #1 team in the world can be knocked out.. (if Sweden score w/ the advantage in the next 10mins ) Additionally, Argentina is out. This is a crazy world cup.

What's the deal with Germany taking short corners? It has not worked at all the entire game yet they keep them going...

Biggest problem is that Mexico doesn't care about a win vs. a draw in that scenario.
It's good news for Germany that the Group E games will be contested after Mexico-Sweden. If Brazil somehow finishes 2nd in the group, Mexico will lose on purpose.LeonardSkinner said:
I wouldn't be half surprised if Mexico is on the phone with Sweden already.
