No they don't. If they win 1-0 then Mexico and Sweden are even on points, goal differential, and goals scored. If SWE-MEX is 1-0 and Germany wins then they are guaranteed to be no worse than either of those teams on points, GD, or goals scored and might be better. Sweden has a big advantage in tiebreakers because they win head to head against Mexico.

I was born in Mexico and live there until I was 14 so yes in soccer I roote for Mexico. Plus I don't see the USA in the WC

2) The Mexicans score at least as many goals in the loss as Germany does in the win.

I'll be in Mexico City during the quarterfinals, so part of me wants them to advance because that would be one hell of a party. The other part of me wants to see them somehow screw this up and not make it out of the group even after beating Germany.
