Mexican defense won the game. Compact and never overcommitted. Made Germany look mediocre on offense.

They'll probably win the group but Mexico didn't really look like a team that would make a deep run. Their efficiency in the final third was almost as bad as Germany's. They should have won that game 3-0. Couldn't believe they didn't score (or at least get a quality shot) on a couple of those opportunities.

I agree. They won a heck of a game but it's not a long term winning strategy.

HUGE win, not only for beating the defending champions, but being able to possibly win the group and avoid Brazil.
I think there should be some talk about Low's lack of adjustment during the first half. The goal scoring play almost happened at least 5 times in almost the exact same sequence. Player is in free behind the defense, German defender overcommits to the left foot, easy cutback and opportunity on goal.

Not a PK at all. KOR defender got all ball and the SWE forward moved toward the defender to draw contact instead of toward the ball. Forwards in this tournament arent doing themselves any favors falling too easy.
