So would I but I think Arsenal would pick up a nice sum of abromovich's blood money if he does. I don't see how he'd fit in the lineup there though.

I won't. He's a phenomenal player and the gooner tears would be well worth it.

Plus the fee is rumored to be 7m pounds cheaper than United paid for Mata, who (while excellent) is not as good as Cesc and is less flexible in his role as well.

Oh, he's a definite puff, but the thought of him slipping a through ball to Costa to go up 3 at the Emirates removes qualms in that regard.

Arsenal has already said they won't be buying Cesc (not sure why), so I don't think the tears will be too bad if he goes to Chelsea, but it would be bad if Kampfers scenario does play out, but I doubt it would happen at the Emirates. At the Bridge is much more likely

Have fun. He is a hell of a player. I wish Arsenal would have gotten him back, but I think we didn't because Wenger believes we already have several high quality attacking mids and with Ramsey and Wilshere being young and already in the squad he didn't want to hamper their development.

I guess I can thank you for paying Arsenal 50% of the transfer fee.

I am pretty crushed since he was my favorite player for the longest time as well as a fan favorite/legend for the club. It'll be interesting to see how the fans react. I imagine most will see it as a betrayal which it kind of is. Everyone said he would struggle at Barcelona and that is basically what happened. He could never officially broke into the 1st team and kept his spot.

He shouldn't worry about Cesc hampering their development, he should worry about injuries hampering their development...and hampering Arsenal's ability to challenge for the EPL title. For a team that is routinely gutted by injuries, it seems odd to turn down the option to sign a quality player and a fan favorite especially knowing he'll go on and strengthen a rival.
