I won't rehash again what I have already said on another thread, but since there appear to be eleventy billion interested viewers I thought I should at least comment that I have already discussed on another thread exactly what I feel I do and do not need to apologize for. My post contain more information than the post a few up from mine on this page. I am not going to repost everything as I comment on both threads so I will keep my replies to the thread that specifically felt the need to call another aggie out. If anyone would like to view it: http://www.texags.com/main/forum.reply.asp?topic_id=667953&page=1&forum_id=5

Serious question to get this thread somewhat back on topic - maybe I'm missing something very obvious, but I don't understand the logic in giving a player money or benefits AFTER he's committed to your school. I mean, once you've got him, do you think he's going to transfer and lose a year of eligibility just because you don't keep the checks coming?
Paying a kid or giving his mom a car while he is still in high school trying to decide where to go to college is understandable (not right, but I follow the logic). But keeping it going AFTER he he's on the team? Why? You've got him already.
