If Mason just used her for FG and XP, this would have been legit, not seem like a gimmick, and have his players something to play for.

There is a ZERO percent chance that the Vandy punter couldn't do what she just did. And there is about a 1% chance that she is a better FG kicker than the punter.

It is a virtue signaling publicity stunt. Period.

I will be the first to eat crow if she gets the chance to kick a 40 yd FG and drills it, but it seems the Vandy offense doesn't even want to put her in that situation.

I have no idea. I'm not kidding. I am not being sarcastic when I say that I don't know why Mason would want her to kick it like that at this point in the game.

Truth be told, he'd have more of a reason to have her kick it through the end zone just to show off - which I truly believe is the point.

There's nothing cool about that kick. But I'm seriously interested in her doing something that most people can't do. Most able bodied people can kick a ball like that.
