My advice to most mortals who kick (except for Braden Mann) - once you kick the ball, run as fast as you can to the bench.

Apples and Oranges but, I remember watching the hype with Annika Sorestam playing the Colonial. She was literally the best player on the planet in women golf and second wasn't close.

Now this girl I am intrigued by her size and her athletic ability to play against the boys, in arguably the least overall athletic position on the field besides the referees.

If she does kick kickoffs, she damn well better hope they're fair caught or through the end zone, otherwise, she will get hit. I'm not saying guys are going to seek her out, but I am willing to bet someone will give her a welcome shove to the turf.

I'm willing to bet it's extra points, if vandy even scores.

On the flipside, if there was a female player who was a bit of a freak athlete and can add to the skill level of our team, I'm positive Jimbo would pick her over all the other male athletes. He's already shown he's not gonna pander to a specific group during the whole BLM march during summer here. He's definitely not going to care about picking a female athlete if she outshines everyone in the position.

Obviously, this would be an outlier and there's a very low chance this will happen. But, if it does happen, Jimbo will most likely take the chance.

Her family is from Colorado City. Her grandfather was a huge Aggie. When he died all the Aggie bigwigs were at his funeral. He owned a grocery store in Colorado City from which he made a lot of $$$. He left 1/2 of the store to A&M.

I would be surprised if Sarah's dad---and maybe mother also--did not go to A&M.

She's the #1GK on the team that just won the SEC Tourney and finished the fall season #3 in the nation. If (big if ) she gets hurt that's going to be one pissed off soccer coach. Rightfully so.

Vandy isn't ranked #3 in the country. They finished 8-4, they were .500 before the tourney. They got hot at the tourney and won it. Also she's a senior, she may or may not be around in the spring when they play the spring schedule and Vandy goes to the ncaa tourney with the automatic bid for winning the sec tournament.

Also somebody on soccer board is saying she is transferring to UNT this spring

The is no female, nor will there be, who is enough of a "freak athlete" that would add to the skill level of our football team. Maybe at the junior high level or some small high school, but not at an SEC team level.

There are probably a half dozen or more guys on the Vanderbilt campus who actually played high school football as a kicker. She is a keeper on a girl's soccer team.

Women and men are different. Each are inherently better at things than the other is. That is ok. Men will always be more superior than women physically. I'm sure she's a serviceable kicker and if it makes her feel good who am I to judge. All that said, let's not pretend this is some wall being broken down. This is a publicity stunt by a coach that's about to get fired.
