If that happened to me, I would be napping just like this dude.
My advice to most mortals who kick (except for Braden Mann) - once you kick the ball, run as fast as you can to the bench.

Pretty wild to think that the Vandy kicker was picked only because of the gender.30wedge said:Jimbo is paid a lot of money, for the entire term of the contract, win, lose, or draw. He has no need to do something gimmicky like this to save his job.Dario said:
I don't really care about the selection. Some people here are saying that guy athletes are, by default, tougher than girl athletes. While generally this is true, there can always be outliers. And besides, this is a kicker position, not a linebacker or lineman position.
Man, this board will have a meltdown if Jimbo did something like this.
Vandy isn't ranked #3 in the country. They finished 8-4, they were .500 before the tourney. They got hot at the tourney and won it. Also she's a senior, she may or may not be around in the spring when they play the spring schedule and Vandy goes to the ncaa tourney with the automatic bid for winning the sec tournament.Mathguy64 said:
She's the #1GK on the team that just won the SEC Tourney and finished the fall season #3 in the nation. If (big if ) she gets hurt that's going to be one pissed off soccer coach. Rightfully so.

Just saw her on the field with other Vandy players.
She appeared to be about the proportional size as the holder, punter #95.
He's 5-10, 188.

They don't list he weight, but I'm guessing at least 180 lbs. She'll be fine.
EDIT - we may only see her once today with this Vandy offense.

It tickles me to read posts from people who garnered all of their female physiology knowledge from the Old Testament and 1930's housewife magazines.
Will Vandy even cross the 50tk for tu juan said:
Will Vandy even make it to FG range in this game?

So her big shot will be kickoff after half
My guess is Mizzou doesn't want a girl scoring on them
So, next year, maybe Kumaar Rocker will pitch for the Vandy softball team?rootube said:zephyr88 said:
This is so 2020.
Girls don't belong in men's sports, period.
Where does this go next... baseball, basketball?
Next thing you know, college sports will look like co-ed intramurals.
You are right this is 2020 not 1820. She will be fine. It's kind of a stunt but she appears to be qualified. Or at least as qualified as the guy she is replacing.
The is no female, nor will there be, who is enough of a "freak athlete" that would add to the skill level of our football team. Maybe at the junior high level or some small high school, but not at an SEC team level.Dario said:Pretty wild to think that the Vandy kicker was picked only because of the gender.30wedge said:Jimbo is paid a lot of money, for the entire term of the contract, win, lose, or draw. On the flipside, if there was a female player who was a bit of a freak athlete and can add to the skill level of our team, I'm positive Jimbo would pick her over all the other male athletes. He's already shown he's not gonna pander to a specific group during the whole BLM march during summer here. He's definitely not going to care about picking a female athlete if she outshines everyone in the position.
Obviously, this would be an outlier and there's a very low chance this will happen. But, if it does happen, Jimbo will most likely take the chance.

Its okay to be honest with them, ya know.
Well, if we've learned anything in 2020, it's that the media will spin anything to meet their narrative.oneeyedag said:
Am I hearing this correctly?
Announcers stating first female to kick in power 5 game. Seems dismissive to throw Katharine Hnida under the bus, when she was the first female to score in an FBS game!
