My son plays High School tennis.
He is in Junior Varsity but not yet good enough for the Varsity boys team.
He has a classmate who plays on the Girls Varsity team as Singles No 2 player. He beats her black and blue on the tennis court when they play. She finds it hard to get even a game.
Maybe my son should start to play on the Girls Tennis team "to break barriers". Maybe all the Junior Varsity boys should try out for the Girls Varsity team and may the best players win.
Several years ago Serena Williams, when she was the #1 woman in the world and at her best, tried training and playing with some scrub dude who was like the #300 men's player in the world and he absolutely destroyed her nonstop. She couldn't make a point or break serve.
John MacEnroe got blasted by the SJW crowd for saying Serena would be like #600 in the men's rankings but he was correct and I think she even agreed with him.
Every few decades, the women get it in their butts to compete with men in tennis. As "Battle of the Sexes". They usually pick a woman in her prime to play against a big tennis male name but way past his prime.
Then they tweak the rules to make it much easier for her to win. Like she gets the entire court, he gets just the singles court. He gets 1 serve, she gets both.
Most often the older man still beats the woman in her prime. Except for one time when a 29 year old Billie Jean beat a 55 year old Bobby Riggs in 1972 (he won Wimbledon in 1939, before Billie Jean was born). She beat him with these rules and he being a gambler most likely tanked the match.
Later Jimmy Connors beat Martina Navratilova in 1992.
It's never possible for a woman to beat a man with fair rules. I've seen Serena play, she is awesome. But I've also seen Djokovic and Federer play and they are out of this world.
