Played Wildcat last Sunday, and Raveneaux on Monday. Wildcat was in good shape, as always, but Raveneaux's greens were diseased and I don't know if they'll be able to recover. Overall a pretty disappointing course.

Playing Greatwood early tomorrow - 6:30 am - and playing in a tourney at Blackhorse on Monday. I'm diggin' the fall weather!

Golfer...Don't get too excited about GW. Man, is it in bad shape, and don't even get me started on the greens.

A buddy and I are probably going to play River Pointe early on Sunday (7 or 7:30) if you want to join us.

Played Lake Windcrest this past saturday. Decent course. Not to hard and decent greens. I am playing Woodcrest this saturday. Anyone know anything about it?

I haven't seen anyone comment on River Ridge in Sealy. This is a great track in my opinion. It is a bit pricey for being in Sealy, but the drive is worth it. No houses to contend with and 3 nines to choose from. Great bbq sandwiches also.

Anyone played Southwyck recently?

Haven't been there in over a year and will be playing on Sat.

1208HawkTree and I played Southwyck in early December and it was in good shape.

I played Meadowbrook Farms in Nov. 05 and I loved it...they were overseeding at the time, so it wasn't in the best shape - but you could easily see that when the grass was in, it would be excellent.

It's a discussion forum like texags but on nothing but golf. They have pics of what's in the pro's bags which is kinda cool. You can also buy/sell/trade equipment.

GolfWrx is great. There are quite a few members from the Houston area, and we get together and play somewhere around town every couple months or so - in fact we're planning to play The Wilderness on Sunday, Jan 28th. Here's a link to the Texas WRX page:

We have some really good players in our group and all are great guys. You talk about some club junkies, there are some that are bordering on clinical. One guy who shall remain nameless flew to Scottsdale to get fitted by HotStix. Based on their recommendations, he ordered an entirely new set of clubs, driver to putter (plus some others he wanted to try out). This was about 3 months ago and he's already abandoned that ship and ordered the new Callaway FT-5 AND FT-I (that's 2 drivers in case you were wondering), irons, wedges and an Odyssey putter.

Oh, speaking of Callaway, my brother is now on staff with them and he gets his new clubs in a couple weeks. He recently was able to hit all of the new offerings and said the FT-5 is a great club and the FT-I (new square driver) is ridiculously straight, but hideous to look at.

Who's played some golf lately?

Not me - the rib has quite a long project list that I'm working so that hopefully I can play more in the summer.

She however is playing....not quite sure how that works.

A buddy of mine caddied in the pro-am at the SHO yesterday - said it was a lot of fun.

Since the daylight savings took effect, I've been playing roughly once a week, sometimes an additional 9 or so holes one evening a week too. My ball-striking is a little off, but my short game and driving the ball have both been surprisingly consistent considering the 4+ month lay off I took.

I am playing Blaketree for the first time this weekend before leaving for Augusta National
