I'm confused by this....Isn't there only one place to get flood insurance and the government sets the rate based on flood plane? I mean, I guess you can lower your rate by lowering contents, but my understanding is you can't shop around for a different rate.

Good question. My coverage is the same for both providers. But the quotes did come from private insurers. I trust my agents (2 Aggies) to do a good job of shopping providers for me. I'm going to ask them about this, although I think btho answered your question.

I live in Katy and my insurance through goosehead went down this year compared to last year. I wouldnt call anyone else.

There are supplemental policies you can get. People on the coast get them like people in Port A for example.

Just want to reiterate that whether or not you flooded has NOTHING to do with your homeowner's policy. There are many obvious reasons why an insurer would lie about this to you. All of them would result in more money for the insurer if you believe them.

Big thanks to Casey for helping us out. Our homeowner's insurance still increased overall but he was able to get us better coverage with a lower renewal rate than our previous insurer. Casey was honest and fast. Y'all should definitely give him a call!

I called Casey earlier this year and he is saving me a TON of money on my car insurance. Goosehead is the best. 10/10 WB (would buy).

I reshop thru a broker every year. Moving auto from safeco to progressive this year to stay flat. Loyalty is out the window on insurance - treat it like a cable provider. State Farm is the worst on rates, yet theyre plastered all over the sports venues.

I just made the switch to Goosehead. Casey was great to work with. My new tier 1 policy cut my deductibles in 1/2. My previous broker agreed it was a great move and one he could not counter.

Casey was able to lower my homeowner's insurance by 20%. He was able to find a policy that met the criteria of living in a coastal county and still saved me money. He did this without bundling this policy with any other insurance plans.
