Snow in Fort Worth

Nothing burger like usual? We've had pretty big weather each winter for like four or five years.
I remember 2021. But, I've seen nothing "pretty big" in SW FW in the last "four or five years" otherwise.

Bone dry this morning, 36 degrees, and rain all day. Glad all the isd's were so thoughtful to cancel ahead of time!
I'd much rather have them cancel ahead of time than the "school closes in an hour, cancel your day and pick up your kids" like in winter of 2022
Why would they cancel today? Cold rain?

Many areas are already icing. You do realize kids have to come home from school too right?

Yeah this is the big reason. Getting to school this morning wasn't going to be a problem. Getting them home could be. Lets be honest, the majority of drivers in DFW suck as it is. Add in school traffic and a bunch of new high school drivers who have no idea how to drive on ice is a bad mix.Teslag said:Coates said:VP at Pierce and Pierce said:Coates said:

Sleet just changed over to heavy wet snow in Prosper. Driveway and yard already glazed.
What a nothing burger!
Idk, by 2 pm weather shouldn't be an issue. The way SWA runs their schedules, it all depends on where your plane is coming from. If it hasn't been delayed by its previous airports/flights and the weather is clear in Dallas, you're probably good.mAgnoliAg said:wangus12 said:I texted my wife, but she's probably still asleep since SWA is letting them work from home todayDouble Diamond said:
Hearing reports of sleet coming down in Anna north of McKinney. Can anybody verify?
Will my flight tomorrow at 2 be delayed heavily? Or no?

Icing at 34 degrees? Must be some magic rain/mix/snow!
