Allen ISD just closed for tomorrow, nothing yet on Friday.

I am! I'm flabbergasted as to why you can't.Ol Jock 99 said:It isn't looking good.Phat32 said:

Ohhh. I was thinking you were having concerns with getting out of town Friday or something. Good luck!Ol Jock 99 said:
Biggest issue is childcare at this point. Wife may well have to shift her Thursday clinic to Friday, which throws my world into chaos.
HRRR 18z Is now colder, and has way more moisture than before. could see snow as far south as killeen. Looking good for snow folks. even at lower snow ratios DFW still is looking at a good 3-5". also that backend snow band seems to sit still for a bit👀! #txwx #dfwwx pic.twitter.com/Hj8R5WMW7x

Just stay home unless you work in the ER or first responder. No job is worth the risk. Your office will still be there after the roads clear.

Some have small kids that require supervision.

Anyone with a best guess estimate what road conditions will be in Dallas tomorrow or Friday afternoon?
Like many others I'm headed to Arlington for the Cotton Bowl with my Ohio State BIL. He is scheduled to fly in tomorrow night. Hopefully flight stays unaffected
I'm debating going tonight which yea is likely the safest route, but tomorrow or Friday afternoon is option as well.
Any advice ?

Cheese n rice….maybe if it was actually dangerous this would make sense. Some people can't just take off of work. Not sure if you have an actual job other than being 100% disabled and still in the Army. But in the real world people don't take off when the streets get wet.

They cancel early so people can plan ahead. Its not that complicated

What insight, thanks!
The districts that closed Friday could at least wait to see what happens tonight and in the morning was my point. This seems to happen all the time, and day 2 things are bone dry.
