I don't think it will be cold enough to worry about the pool freezing. I'm covering equipment to keep ice/snow off of it (just in case), otherwise, I'm letting it ride. I'm zoned with schools / the local fire station and lost power for a whole 20 minutes during Uri.

As of right now I'm with you. But if it drops between 25-28 then I'm draining it. But as long as it stays 30 as low Thursday through Friday then I'll cover equipment to keep snow off it.

I noticed both Dellkus and the cbs guy were say 2 to 5 but seemed to be doing a LOT of qualifying about it still being two days away and models and predictions changing.

I got the impression they are sure dfw will be a "hotspot". But they really cannot know how hot because so much depends on a degree or two up or down and a few miles an hour one way or the other for the pressure systems.

Sounds like a perfect weekend to go deer hunting! I just got back from this weekend, and I'll go out the weekend after, but dang I wish I could be out this weekend too. Starting on Thursday.

For thunderstorms absolutely. Just feels like they miss snow and ice on the low side when it actually happens. They lean to the conservative models ( I have learned all about these things on these threads!)

But I could be wrong. Getting old over here.

I was reading that as well…seems most of the larger accumulation will be east of DFW. However, they are still showing 6ish inches in the metroplex, which is still a lot!
