National Weather Service mets now talking about a potential winter storm for north Texas the end of the week.
But hey what do they know?
A RARE Southern Plains Winter Storm is becoming more likely at the end of this week.

How much snow and ice is very uncertain, but confidence is growing in another winter storm later this week. More details in a video Sunday or Monday. pic.twitter.com/5fafmgCBSS

Everything I've seen mentions heavy snow not ice which is a huge difference. Is everyone seeing the same?
Dallas-Fort Worth right on edge of heavy snowfall. We're talking upwards of 15" possible by Friday morning from ECMWF HRES 06z.

Still plenty of these on the shelf at the Skillman Home Depot. I use them on my spigots and they work great.

Thank you for all of the info you have been posting!
Temps, timing, and track of the disturbance are CRUCIAL when it comes to who sees what. We're currently in a favorable position for accumulating wintry weather Thursday - Friday. Accumulations could be significant. Too early for exacts. More details as we get closer! #wfaaweather pic.twitter.com/6r36Dlf0BA

Go to storm2k. Then go to "active topics" and find the Texas winter thread.
A lot of maps and stuff that makes no sense to me lol but get just enough clear info to plan ahead.
There is a link a page or two back for the thread, just jump to the last page. To see what they're talking about on the maps read the top left and that's usually the general idea and then it will get into the weeds of this model on this run but 7 day snowfall forecast is pretty up front for what they're talking about.planoaggie123 said:

Just a warning - that thread has ups and downs similar to a football game day thread. Models run every few hours and elation or meltdown follows depending on what the models show.
