Interesting. Even the weather app saying we will get 6-7 inches of snow on Friday says the low will be 33.
Still seeing the lowest high being 38. Then Thursday the low being 29 with snow showers. Y'all can do what you want. But nothing freezes above 28 if it's in the ground or attached to a house.

The locals and the apps haven't updated temps. Give it another day.
Holding out hope for a huge snowstorm Thursday/Friday so we can hit the trifecta of embarrassing Jerry Jones, preventing an invasion of Ohio State fans, and icing over I-35 to keep the burnt orange mob out of our beautiful city. Is that too much to ask?
Well the models have gone bananas. Probably too far out still, but if this holds through the next 48 hours then could be quite the event. Or not. We shall see!

Friday by two weather should be fine, but Thursday looks like it's gonna be a slushy fun time. 30 as low and 35 as high with good amount of all three forms of precipitation.
That said, things could shift 12 hours easily I imagine. I'd be prepared mentally to fly late Friday or first thing Saturday.
Everything I've seen mentions heavy snow not ice which is a huge difference. Is everyone seeing the same?

Scheduled to fly into DFW from Houston on Thursday about 6pm. Hopefully the picture is clear by Wednesday AM if I should cancel my flight to Houston that afternoon.

Likely depends where you are. Big difference I imagine between nw tarant and SE Dallas counties. Couple degree shift here and there would be difference between winter wonderland and slushy nasty mess.

Another one of his tweets says one model shows no snow for DFW. So anywhere between 0 and 15". I'd be okay with the median of 5", I really hope we don't get 15".

Note that if you have older or faulty hose bibs, these will not work and instead cause water to leak out of the spigot handle. Technically the same end result, but less controlled and could end up costing you a lot in water depending on flow.

Yes the majority of the models have us with snow accumulations. 65% of them from the overnight runs.
Biggest risk for ice is south of DFW towards Austin, Waco.
National blend of models. This is one of the National weather service's primary forecasting tools.

There is a link a page or two back for the thread, just jump to the last page. To see what they're talking about on the maps read the top left and that's usually the general idea and then it will get into the weeds of this model on this run but 7 day snowfall forecast is pretty up front for what they're talking about.planoaggie123 said:
