Yes, much better. I'm in Katy and lurk this board cause both my kids are currently at TAMU. The nearest and only Taco Casa in the Houston area is in Cypress no man's land. Not near any major freeway.
My favorite from Taco Bell was the Mexi Melt. They brought that back too. I ordered a couple and they were nasty. Greasy.
IDC what anyone says, Taco Casa is awesome. I don't know what they do with their taco shells, but you can take a bite and they don't explode into a million pieces...
Since I'll be up there very soon, can anyone give a review of JLM Chicken and Waffles?
I'm not really interested in the waffles, but it looks to have real bone in fried chicken.

Only thing that gives me pause, they don't offer chicken livers. Chicken E is good, but I have to go to the counter and beg for sauce.
Went to a bar in Tavares, FL. It was on the lake. They had fried chicken livers tossed in Buffalo Sauce. Never seen that on the menu anywhere.

JLM is awesome! Chicken is great…but that fried okra is like crack! Ms. Juanita is one of the kindest souls I have ever met!

I think that location closed.
Is something going on with ownership of some of the local Chick-fil-a's? The south CS (Lowe's parking lot) and Briarcrest locations no longer show as eligible choices on the app. It's been like that for a few days. Thanks.

We tried it this week. I was a little skeptical because 60 reviews in the first few weeks, 100% 5 stars, and most with long narratives and beautiful photos smells more like a sophisticated social media campaign than organic content. However, happy to report that the food was very good. It is so refreshing to find a new restaurant where they prioritize food quality!
I'm not sure the menu is conducive to eating there as often as say Napa Flats and the location isn't going to attract any drive by business so I hope the word of mouth is strong enough for them to make it. We need more of this type of establishment positioned between our decent set of high end restaurants and expansive set of low end college town fare with not much quality in between.

Hoping to try them soon. I make cioppino type soups fairly regularly.
As for a review, grabbed a pack of the pork tamales from Mi Tierra to fuel a day of yard work. They are very good. They do pork, chicken, and queso, Saturdays and Sundays (I know there was a tamale thread around somewhere).

1860 has a very good, and spicy, cioppino. But looking forward to check out Nova's menu.
