Accidentally ran over this guy in our Ranger while he was trying to cross the road. He looked tore up and struggling so we lopped his head off. Saw another crossing a different r road later that day. I guess the cooler weather prompted them to come out.

And for good fun I almost put my hand on this lover killer in black!

Spring. I saw one last summer too. I had a Coral on my patio a couple of weeks ago, as well.

Western South Carolina "midlands" near Camden. In a horse barn in a pasture, but within about 200 feet of a marshy area

Was in the dark, hard to see. Wasn't until saw the photo with flash, that I saw the head shape and that bugged me.

Only about 12-15" long not very big around

This is all I could get of the snake. It was slowing backing into the cabinet it was hanging out in. Only about 6" of him was originally put in the sun.

I would guess he was a little bigger than my thumb, diameter wise.

I found a skin similar sized earlier in the day.

I think the homeowner will be unpleasantly surprised if she sees it there. Gotta figure out how to run it off.
