Pretty neat sighting. Timber rattlesnakes are known to be good squirrel hunters (pictures is a diamondback, I know).

Squirrels are squirrels.

Unless a fox squirrel does something more useful than eat our pecans & figs, chew up my house trim, plant oak trees in inappropriate locations, and make other squirrels then my original point stands.

So my wife runs at Terry Hershey Park near the energy corridor in West Houston several days a week. Today, she happened upon this guy just after he was (most likely) run over by a bike:



Sorry for a bit of a gruesome pic. Looks like a pretty big coral snake. I'm really jealous because I've never spotted one in nature, living or dead.
