I don't think this is necessarily a bad thing. It just locks Aubrey up while they work out a long term deal. Believe they did this with Turpin as well. Wow, so they must've thought a team would be willing to give up a 3rd to come sign Aubrey? I could see that. Dude is definitely a weapon.
My issue with this front office is they seem to just react to what is going on around them and really have no vision. Meanwhile it drives me nuts that Philly has Howie Roseman and that dude is probably strategizing 3 to 4 years ahead.
They sit back, wait, and allow their own talent to become even more expensive. Then they use it as an excuse not to sign other FAs. Rinse and repeat resulting in a team with constant roster holes

Absolutely. Zero reason to wait. All these extensions should have been done the week after playoff elimination. It's not like a competent GM would have a higher priority than building next year's team at that point

The problem is the bad bets - with Diggs being the most recent - seem to only solidify this "no hurry" strategy. In some cases you have to be smarter, in other cases you have to realize that doing things sooner and more cheaply gives you the wiggleroom to make the occasional bad bet and be fine

We were talking about playoff luck the other day... how is it that the Broncos get the #1 see and their prize is getting to play Josh Allen & The Bills (the Pats get Houston).
Feels like something that would 100% happen to Dallas if we were to get the #1 seed again... end up having to play the team that nobody wants to play while the #2 seed gets the team that can only play on 1 side of the ball.

Texans have the best defense in the league & they've won 10 games in a row, I wouldn't be shocked if they win it all.

I'm not betting on the Texans but imagine having your QB cough up 3 turnovers and look completely overwhelmed and still winning a playoff game by 24 points.
As long as their defense is outscoring the other teams offense they'll be tough to beat!

True but Pitt was prob the worst team in the playoffs. The quality of the offenses they are going to face will be much better moving forward.
I don't follow Houston but does anyone know why Stroud has regressed so much? His rookie year was great and hes gotten steadily worse each year. Young seems to be turning the corner in Carolina by contrast.

90% of the time Allen is the most all around unstoppable QB in the history of the league. I think they're fine.

Denver was a fraud all year, they're a classic one and done one seed that feasted on a bad schedule and won a ton of high variability close games. That's true whether or not they come back to win today (because a true one seed has no business losing to this Bills team).
They were down by multiple scores to teams that finished with 7 or fewer wins 5 times this year. That's as big a red flag as you can have as a good team.
