All I know is I'm banned from making a game thread the rest of the year. I'm thinking a Tie is worthy of a new thread but I'm just part of the voice around here. I'm not quite ready to give up on the playoffs yet but that could change this weekend if we lose to the putrid Jets.

Yeah, maybe, I haven't looked at how well Guyton has graded out. i say that because that's what he played in college so maybe he's more comfortable on that side. Maybe not. I"m sure the cowboys have a good feel for that, by now.

I think we can pretty clearly say this kid is our 2nd best OT, at worst. He might just be #1 by the end of the year.

The Guyton pass blocking grades aren't great, but the run blocking stuff is fine. It's hard to judge Guyton because he missed camp, then miraculously started week one, and has played nothing but man eating defensive ends in every game this season.

With that being said, he's going to have to start winning against elite defensive ends some time because basically every team has one really really good guy, and to be a first round tackle you've got to win your fair share of 1v1's.

I will say after watching the plays that he has a good footwork and a solid base beneath him. Those things can absolutely translate to a a stud OL.

If you look at the eagles O-line, it's full of Day 1-2 draft picks... but they did get very lucky that Mailata became a stud from the 7th round.

Thomas was also a 7th round pick and if we could get anything close to Mailate from him it would be big time!

Look at Philly.

Pass rushing DEs are a dime a dozen.. there are a lot of good DEs.

Spend your draft capital on OLine and interior DLine.

A shutdown corner. And obviously a QB that just knows how to win.

I'm not sure where he projects in the draft, but Regis is really starting to impress me (when he's not being a dumb ass and suplexing Auburn players after the whistle has blown!!!). It's the type of disruption from the interior that we need.

Not that Jerry will ever draft a Day 1 or Day 2 Aggie.

that call was indeed absurd and just part of the blatant insanity of trying to keep auburn in a respectable game.

The RB was still fighting for yards, not to mention UGA does the "suplex" tackle 3-4 times a game

If we are talking about the same play... the suplex... I 100% thought it was the right call.

For me, watching it on tv, it felt like the play was in slow motion. I could see it coming the second the whistle blew and Regis had got the guy in a full bear hug. It heard the words "don't slam him, don't slam him" repeated in my head a dozen times in a split second... and then, yeah, he slams the guy.

I was pissed. The refs had already thrown way too many flags in the game and we gave them a reason to throw another.


But, I love that Regis appears to be a nasty player which is why I was asking about him for Dallas. Our defense needs a handful of nasty dogs in our front 7.

Anybody else watching the Cardinals game? Hilarious series of events where Cardinals were crossing the goal line to go up 27-6, but 10 minutes later they're only up 21-19. Guy pulled a Desean Jackson at the goal line.

While it was incredibly idiotic, I'm not sure replay got this right. He basically finger-rolled it as he crossed the line, and it was still in his fingers as he crossed the line. So it depends on when you consider a ball no longer "possessed" on a finger-roll, which seems pretty debatable.

I agree with you. He was going to spin the ball before he crossed the line, but as his hand was going forward to flip the ball, I think it was still in his grasp as the ball crossed the front of the goal line. Probably shouldn't have changed the call on the field of TD.

It was still really dumb lol.

Yes, I think it was a call you just leave, but agree, it was very idiotic so I don't feel like they got screwed. The booth might have felt the same "ehh, it's borderline but you were so dumb that why should we reward you with the benefit of the doubt?"

So........... is it too unreasonable to think they have a stretch coming up that IF the offense keeps it up, and, IF the defense can be at least somewhat on par, that they couldn't roll off a bit of a streak?

I don't think there's any game we can't win with the offense. Defense still won't be great but we're getting reinforcements sooner or later.

Man, I remember this in real time and it's even better watching it again. This might be the best throw for an incompletion this season in the league. This is an absolute dime by Dak, esp when you consider it's 3rd down and he's going against sauce garner.

Oh, and Pickens walks to the end zone if he hangs onto this.

Dak is playing at an insane level right now.
