This team will be extremely lucky to have a winning record and I'm thinking more like 5 wins at best after watching the first three weeks. I'll watch every game with hope but I'm not an idiot and I can see how bad we are with a brutal schedule in the second half of the season.

Well that's good (or bad if you are already in full on tank mode). Bland is arguably our best defender right now.
I think this team could easily still sneak into the playoffs, there's not a lot of great teams right now

No guarantee the guy can run the same after that injury... And Lord knows these deals have not worked out for us in the past... But if I could extend the guy for relatively little money for 2-3 years I think I'd do it.

No. Can the guy even walk? I mean hes looked good but this is the exact type of guy we always complain about getting an extension.

Without question. I always think of Sean Lee in a situation like this. When he played, he was a difference maker. Let's just hope Overshown stays on the field more.
I just think he's the right type of guy to take a gamble on, as opposed to the Gallup and Jaylon Smith types. Neither of those guys could play at the level of other injury risk players like Lee and Overshown.
Team friendly 2 year extension would keep him here 3 years after this season. It's a win for Overshown... He gets money now and will still be in his prime when his next pay day is due. Cowboys potentially get an All Pro LB on the cheap.
