Much much happier to get henderson or kinlawjr15aggie said:
So I've been soaking up all the latest mock drafts and draft podcasts. Nothing is for sure, but I think there is a decently clear picture of that top half of round 1 with room for maybe 1 surprise. Breaking it down for Dallas:
Likely Gone before 17: 3 QBs, 4 OTs, 3 WRs, 4 Defenders (Young, Brown, Okudah & Simmons).
That's 14 players total... only 2 more names to add to that list before Dallas picks
Players available: Henderson, Kinlaw, Chaisson
So theoretically, there should be 1 or maybe 2 of those guys above still on the board when we pick. If all 3 of those defenders are gone that means either 1 of the WRs or 1 of the OTs has fallen instead. I could live with drafting one of the WRs... worst case would be an OT being BPA... ugh I would be sick and praying for a trade partner.
Most likely though... we'll have Henderson or Kinlaw or Chaisson available. Y'all happy as long as we get anybody from that group? I think I would be.
So that means they draft a quarterback right?daniel_nieto20 said:
Interesting odds according to Fanduel to get an idea of who is going where:
Cowboys first pick: defense (-300)
CJ Henderson U 12.5 (-130)
Derrick Brown U 7.5 (-145)
Isaiah Simmons O 6.5 (-180)
Justin Jefferson U 21.5 (-200)
Javon Kinlaw O 13.5 (-135)
K'Lavon Chaisson O 16.5 (-155)
Grant Delpit first round? No (-175)
Position of first play (cowboys)
CB +170
DL +250
LB +340
OL +600
WR +1100

Would be interested to see what kind of trade down offers are available if one of the top 3 QB's drop.
Mike Florio is putting it out that the Giants are interested in the QB from Oregon. Florio's pretty much a tool of the NFL's version of the deep state. So I'm sure the Giants are using him to send out smoke screens.
Now you're thinking straight!MooreTrucker said:
Nobody but Dak is better than Russell Wilson.

Only if he's better than Russell Wilson...

Serious question... would you trade Dak straight up for the #1 pick / Joe Burrow.
I wouldn't. Ryan Leaf was a can't miss prospect too. I'll take the guy that has already consistently won in the NFL.

Anyone that believe Giants are interested in drafting a Oregon quarterback is someone you should look into selling a bridge to
Isn't the salary cap hit merely the difference between a rookie contract, which is pre-determined and standard, and a not-rookie contract?gigem1223 said:jr15aggie said:

I like Dak but give me Burrow all day everyday, especially when you take into account the difference in salary cap hit between the 2. With Burrow, we'd be able to go get Adams and Clowney.
Yeah, isn't that a standard rookie contract? There's some kind of max on a rookie contract, right?gigem1223 said:
From what I've read, Burrow will likely be signed for a 4 year deal with a 5th year option for what Dak is demanding just per year ($35M+)
