Yep, as a federal employee (USACE) I'd love a good long shutdown over Christmas so I don't have to use any PTO and still get paid.

What you want and what you voted for are not the same thing. Things will be different in a lot of ways in January, but Conservative policy is not a major part of that, and just about everyone here acknowledged as much during the election. Expecting something way further to the right of who was elected is not reasonable to expect.
