Dumb question. Are these deadlines arbitrary or from the Constitution? If not the latter, get rid of them. Why are last budget matters for the next admin even allowed to be set by the outgoing lame duck one? Probably should be some rule where nothing passed then doesn't also expire/sunset in three months and gets to be re-legislated.
Btw, Bongino is really ripping on Johnson and the GOP wobblers behind this CR. Everything he is saying is spot-on. This just isn't at all what Nov 5 and that vote was about.
