Putting these two things together. (The Trump news today and the ABC Whistleblower)

I didn't hear if the suspect fired any shots at or in Trump's direction, but with the whistleblower news coming out, maybe this person was just used to create a news story and create a diversion?

He was spotted by a team ahead of Trump's party. Sounds like 200 yards away, still pretty far for handguns but we don't what they had but maybe that is why they missed.

SBR's dont have that as an effective range.

Its mostly 50-100 yards.

200 yards is pushing it.

SS agent was scouting out 1 hole ahead of Trump and saw the rifle barrel and engaged the shooter. shooter fled, and a random bystander got his license plate number as he fled, and gave it to police. Suspect was tracked by license plate scanners.

Please! A 11.5 to 14.5" 5.56 AR SBR is good out to 500 all day with an optic.

You need to go to the range more.

Looks to me like the guy was using the 'backpacks' with tiles to use as protection from return fire when he was shooting at Trump. I figure he wasn't expecting the advance team checking out holes ahead of Trump.

I wish there was a way to disarm democrats. We'd instantly become one of the safest countries in the world. By far the safest places I have ever been to are rural and suburban areas with few democrats and LOTS of guns.
