I've watched that one as well and I do like it.

It has a slow quirkier vibe to it, but it's not bad.
If you don't have anything nice to say about anybody, come sit by me.

Three episodes left and then the season is over. I really need a massive battle and some main character death(s).

GOT would usually have their climax of major battle events take place 1-2 episodes before the season finale, with the finale episode being a fallout

Im hoping for a big episode in the next two weeks.

This is an awesome line that is apparently in the book and they just opted to ignore using in the show for Sir Creston's death scene

This is like watching a slow motion car crash the way things are falling apart for Rhaenyra.

But this is great writing. This is what they tried and failed to do with Dany. Just didn't put in nearly enough legwork.

The weight of the crown is just too much for her. Cutting herself on the throne is great foreshadowing.

Asking Alicent to kill Aemond is the clearly showing that Rhaenyra's mind is starting to crack.

Totally agree and it really soured the moment for me. They tried to make it about shock value with the girlboss shooting him from afar because they've made Cole's thing that he's misogynist.

Really *******ized a pretty iconic moment of the Dance.

And that's after he literally talked about having songs written about him in previous episodes to set it up.

I feel bad for Aemond. About to be in a love triangle with his own mom and the creepiest woman alive who refuses to get naked on camera. I think he should go with his mom.

Well, I thoroughly laughed out loud at Cole's end. I read the spoiler text above, and I get where y'all are coming from, but I was unaware. Therefore, it was quite funny to me.

Alicent is just the frigging worst. The only difference between her and Cersei is that Cersei actually cared about all of her children. Alicent is all "I don't need a granddaughter. Let's go." I hope the witch in Harrenhall kills her.

Wasn't expecting that for the old Sea Snake. How'd that dude get from Tumbleton and find them anyway? Speaking of Tumbleton, am I the only one that thought Hugh's wife was out of line? Not a fan of how they had him get all forceful with her.

Alan and his half-niece? And she just lost her betrothed a few weeks ago? That was such a weird scene.

Hugh's wife sucks. Homeboy is a dragon rider now, he can pick and choose the ladies.

I'm just glad Alan stepped up when presented an opportunity.

Throughout the episode I found myself thinking, "Ya know, Robert Baratheon is seeming like a better and better ruler all the time."

Poor Rhaenyra. Comes up with a decent plan and picks the wrong dang Baratheon to frame.

Cole's death was so satisfying. Chefs kiss!!!
My demon woke me up this morning and said bruh, I'm tired... So I handed him a Red Bull and said come on little buddy, we got bridges to burn and chaos to spread.

I wish Ormund could have death by being dropped into an outhouse hole.

Hugh's wife is the quintessential shrew trope. I think it was pretty obvious when there have been no cut scenes of her in T-town pining away for Hugh, and no secret messengers between the capital and T-town. Hell, we know the Raven Express was running messages, so it would have been onscreen more blatantly if she wanted him to see her.

C U Near Tumbleton, for sure, Hugh's wife (whatever her name is).

Crackhead Targaryen getting slapped by the Arryn chick was funny. She wasn't kicking up to the dealer so the dealer had to put her in her place.

Those horny Targs. Put 2 of them in a room together and something is getting hard or wet.

Didn't quite follow that message that was sent to Rhaenyra at the end. Was that Ulf quitting, or just threatening her?

Either way, pretty poor decision.

That was from Ormund - it was written on one of the jerkins of the "Baratheon" assassins.

I did enjoy how Ormund told that story about the Martell army that hid and attacked their enemies after they invaded, essentially setting up what was done to Criston's army one episode later.

The Rhaenyra train wreck is definitely building. Ulf seems all but out the door with his dragon, and clearly issues with Hammer too. And with their city defenses depleted, I'm getting this Calvin Candie vibe with the townfolk:

Pacing has been weird for me this season. We started out strong with the action first couple of episodes. I know the last three weeks have been dedicated to story development, but definitely feels like it has slowed down.

The pacing and editing of this show have been pretty all over the place in my opinion.

There have been multiple scenes that like abruptly just stop and seem so half-baked.

Did anyone think after Ormund was teasing the other Hightower about liking dudes, that we were about to get a gay incest reveal between him and Daeron? The teary eyed acting by Daeron was almost too much.

If King's Landing had public access TV, assuming it was not axed due to budget cuts by Lord Manderly, I'd watch Needlework With Helaena or a camera devoted to cats catching rats all day long over dealing with Hugh's wife ever again.

Reminded me way to much of Monica on Yellowstone.

By the way, how terrible a scout are you that you don't realize most of the people lying around aren't dead?

My interpretation was Ormund was just being a jerk about Gwayne's sexuality. I don't think there is any incest between Gwayne/Daeron or Ormund/Daeron.

By the end of the scene I didn't think so, just as it started
