Interesting how all the trucks on the 6666 are F-Series Fords after Dodge put so much money into the show.

And we don't get the second half of the season until this summer

I saw that RTIC got a sign in at the 6666 cowboys lunch. I wonder what that cost?

It's because the 6666 ranch is actually a real life Ford F-Series Ranch. All their trucks are Fords.

Damn, I thought when they were talking about mid-season finale, it would pick back up in mid Feb or so like Walking Dead used to do. This freaking summer? That sucks.

I think I saw an interview this week that they haven't even finished filming the second half of the season yet. That was really surprising to hear.

Kind of a nothingburger of an episode. And then no new content until this summer.

Two minutes of anything of interest and the rest is just watching them work cattle. What a ****ty and lazy mid season finale that was.

Count me in the camp that: 1) thinks the show is too formulaic, but 2) think that summer is too long to wait for the rest of the season, and 3) haven't seen much of 1883 or any of 1923.

Most of 3) is due to being too cheap/lazy to get Paramount+. However, I found out by accident that as a T-Mobile user I can get a YEAR of Paramount+ for free!

Now we can catch up on 1883 and 1923 before the show resumes!

But that's the most realistic part of the show. I'm glad they show more of it. I wish they would do more. I know it's entertainment and all but I feel they have a unique opportunity to show the viewers that operations like this aren't all sitting on a porch and drinking whiskey and being ruthless and killing people to do what you want. Some of the artistic liberties are a bit much but the fact that the operation may barely make enough to cover its expenses and devastating disease issues are all real.

I'm still treating this like any other show. Just enjoy it for what it is….mindless entertainment for you to escape reality for a little while. That's its point.

1883 - it was just ok. I like the characters so I enjoyed it but not as much as season 1 of Yellowstone.

1923 - this one is much beaker to watch. It's onlub3 episodes in and I want to watch the whole thing.

Paramount+ get it for a month. You may like it, I know I do.
The Offer-show about the making of the godfather. That was the best show I've seen in a long time. The characters and acting were great!
Tulsa King-don't know why it works but it's good!

I'd recommend trying it out for a month as soon as more 1923 come out.

Am I the only one that found Beth's reaction to the train station odd? She wants to kill everyone she meets but is now horrified by the train station? Seemed out of character for her.

I think she's more horrified at the supposed leverage that she had over Jamie that just went swirling down the drain.

I took it as "I've been working my whole life to ruin Jamie's life, and you could have just taken him to the train station?"!!

Huge inconsistency and error in the train station description by John - he told Beth "where did you think the men who attacked you went" - these guys were hung up on the porch of the Beck guy with a return to sender note nailed to them.

It was a lazy episode - the ending was simply a formal declaration of Beth and Jaime that they'll try to kill the other.

That was her attitude by the end of the conversation with John, but she seemed truly horrified when she first heard about it from Jaime. Seemed odd. Particularly after Rip basically admitted to her in a prior episode he's killed a bunch of people for the ranch when he refused to talk to her about it.

How did she know where Jamie was going to dump his dad's body if she didn't know about the train station?

She came walking out of the shadows did she not?

Hard to get there first doing that.

She apparently knew what he was doing so I'm assuming she followed him. Pulled over a short distance away and snuck up while Jamie was distracted hauling his father's body out of the car and towards the edge of the cliff.

That is possible but it's not like the show doesn't have a hundred other plot holes so it's hard to believe any of this was that well thought out.

I watch it for the scenery, Costner, and Cole Hauser. Unfortunately, it's become the Beth and Jamie show.

The question is why didn't Jamie stand up to her sooner if he had the train station leverage to thwart her blackmail material.

Because then they couldn't have had that cliffhanger for the mid-season break.

I still say that Jaime either kills Beth or wounds her. Rip does Rip things to Jaime or Casey does SEAL things to Jaime. I do not think Jaime makes it out alive.

This looks like where one of the plots it's going. I agree hell even John may take him out.

Did anyone else notice Dale Brisby at the 6666 lunch? He was just in the background but I was hoping he'd say one of his one-liners. Also, he's the first Ag I've noticed on the show

Pretty sure that both Jamie and Beth will be coincidentally targeted for hits on the same night in the final episode, and we won't know if either of them are dead until next season.

Yea it was during the lunch all the guys had while working cattle. You could see him sitting down a few people down from Jimmy. It's the scene that Jimmy walked away briefly to call his girl that he'd be home late. You could see him in his classic sunglasses
