Runtime confirmed. Looks like I'll have to see it two or three times in theaters. I haven't seen a movie in theaters since February of 2020.

I know multiple people that have seen #thebatman. ALL of them said it's fantastic. They tested the movie a few times & reaction to those screenings gave WB the confidence to release this.

What excites me most about #TheBatman being nearly 3 hours is that it seemingly confirms Matt Reeves received the total creative freedom he requested from Warner Bros. There won’t be any “Reeves Cut” to release down the road. This is the definitive, final cut.

That doesn't mean there can't me a 6 hour Snyder cut that's just the entire movie played in slow motion. Unless someone jumps, then it's sped up 4x

Yeah I wanted to go see that in theaters but I just didn't have time.
If it's as good as it's hyped, I would love for it to be 3 hours.
I have never complained about a movie being too long. They tend to feel rushed, even Dune. Although I have to restrict all fluids beforehand.
Batman has always been a brooding character
There are a few slow, boring dramas I've found to be too long, but otherwise, yeah, IMO, you can never have too much of a good, engaging blockbuster. I'll take all the movie Warner Bros wants to give us. They're the only ones losing out here, by not being able to fit as many screenings in per day, due to the length - and thus losing out on potential $$$ - but they must be so confident in this thing that they know people will be coming back again and again.
This news really, truly excites me. Not only does it mean that the trailers have barely scratched the surface, but that Reeves has a story he's so passionate about, he absolutely has to tell it with no corners cut. For the record, these are the runtimes of his other films, none of which even come close to three hours...

So it's not like he's known for telling long, bloated stories. In other words, that tells me there's a strategy and a reason here, and that this could finally be the epic Batman crime drama many of us have been waiting for.

I'm excited for it, but it will be interesting to see the general reception. Like it or not, it will be compared to The Dark Knight.
No doubt. But that movie, believe it or not, is about to be 14 years old. TDKR, ten years old. Which basically means that an entire younger generation has yet to have *their* solo Batman iteration. While Affleck's Batman was good, he wasn't all that memorable, and didn't have any of his own movies/fight any of his own villains. So, for many, this is going to be a whole new experience.
Not all that memorable is an understatement. I couldn't even tell you the name of one of his batman movies. The only thing I remember was that meme of him looking disgusted in that interview.
Kind of crazy to consider that we've had two [possibly completed] Spider-Man series in that span of time.
Hell, not to mention the entirety of the MCU.
