Ha, I wasn't being "passive aggressive." I was literally just making a dumb joke out of an alternate translation of the sentence you typed.
That said, are we really having this conversation AGAIN?
First of all, I didn't "scour the web" for these photos. They're popping up in my Twitter feed, like 99% of the stuff I post on this board. Second of all... who cares??? How could seeing any of this possibly affect your movie-going experience 18 months from now? We know Collin Farrell is playing the Penguin. Now we know Collin Farrell is playing the Penguin... with an umbrella (gasp!) and blonde hair. As for the other images, like the ones I posted yesterday, personally, I find it fun to look for little clues here and there, like the "HD" on the news truck I mentioned that tells us this almost assuredly isn't set in the '90s. But beyond the thrill of getting a little hint at what a character might look like, or deducing minor conclusions based on set clues, I simple find it fun and helpful to glean whatever vibe I can about the movie itself, and enjoy discussing that with others.
However, clearly, each movie of this caliber now needs THREE threads, apparently...
1) The Spilner-approved version where ONLY official materials can posted.
2) The middle-ground version where we don't even come close to posting spoilers, and never will, but *do* dabble with set pics and theories from time to time, and talk expectations based on what little info we do have.
3) The spoiler thread once the movie finally hits theaters.
Consider this the second version. If you want to start your own, where only official material is allowed, go right ahead. Otherwise, we have polar opposite takes on what we deem "spoilers," and what we enjoy about the experience leading up to a movie's release in general. It's clear that's never, ever going to change.
