Only casting I truly dislike is Zoe Kravitz. But that's just because I don't think she can act
Slightly different trifecta, but Joss Whedon on an unofficial level:TCTTS said:
Just realized that Serkis might be the only actor/filmmaker to pull off the superhero hat trick...
DC/WB - The Batman
Marvel/Disney - Black Panther
Marvel/Sony - Venom 2 (directing)
Anyone else have a hand in all three corporate superhero iterations?
Can someone cast him in the Missions Impossible series, too?TCTTS said:
Oh, and the latest Planet of the Apes trilogy.
So crazy.
Yep, same here. Just not happy with her as Catwoman.AggieLitigator said:
Love all the casting choices so far except Zoe Kravitz.

Can't believe how active this thread has been / how old it'll be by the time this film finally comes out.
Very much agreed (and I said this like 2 villains ago soooo yeah).Sex Panther said:
I'll play devil's advocate and admit I'm starting to get a little worried... Reeves has proven to be a really solid director, so I'm sure he'll turn out something good. But this thing is getting really, really bloated.

Eeh.... I still think there's a big difference between serving Rachel and Lucious Fox than the Riddler and the Penguin. "Setting up for sequels" makes me think of Amazing Spiderman 2, too.
They can set themselves up for a lose/lose with some superfans if it doesn't go quite right. Small example, but some people were mad that Ronan the Accuser didn't have a bigger role in Captain Marvel. But if his glorified cameo had been just some Kree general, those same fans would probably be saying "why not just use Ronan, it fits with the timeline."
If Two-Face is just a cameo, some fans will get their hopes up and wish it had just been some monster instead - especially if they don't totally nail the character with his 1-2 scenes
It actually makes me think of Leto in Suicide Squad. Can you nail this much-hyped, fan-favorite character in 10 minutes of screen time? If not, I think you'd better shelf it for later.
Just some poopoo thoughts, I'm sure it'll be fine. But I don't think I've seen any Reeve films either so it's just extra interesting from the sidelines.
